P.S. love the chemistry--will be in the 20's by the time you sign everyone.
50 and counting. chemistry will be just fine when we start playing games that matter.

I agree 100% about testing overall, and the fact other things might be getting less attention know that these new changes are going in. I have always felt that the game is based purely on reaction and never really any proactive steps to really following a true project plan.
Well, I do believe that my lack of a spin WR speaks for itself...But, I think it was just a few hitting it right, seriously. Nothing was tested with Spin WRs at all, and everyone knew that Spin was getting a boost before the ssn started....Everyone that bothered to read Bort's change log, that was. So, since it wasn't tweaked until the off ssn, never tested on WRs AND announced before anyone could spend boost points, I don't see that as really being an advantage there.
Now, I did have 2 Spin HBs (one from the ssn before and another I got a commit from before Bort decided buffing Spin was the solution to elusives getting TFLed on the test server 9 of 10 plays after his change to SYM). That siad, I was stupid enough to try to talk the PB into not going Slippery and gear more towards being a pure PB, because I was sure Bort would nerf it. Thank God the HB argued with me until I relented.

Believe me.. I didn't get the memo... This is one game...

I've seen a lot of WR builds... and I had never seen too many with a lot invested in "Spin."
I was on a team with a tester in the past (few seasons ago) and he would answer questions in the team forum all the time. Thing is... it was in the team forum not for the public to see. So if you don't seek out to ask (and know what to ask), or your not on a team with a tester, your not getting all the information available to some. Its much easier to be told what's going to happen then playing guessing games and trying to figure out how to fix something.

Just to clear it up a bit... I do believe we need testers and I'm thankful for them.
Some of them are great guys and some, well, I roll my eyes and say "You gotta be fucking kidding me."

Yeah, my shockers got raped by it in one of the early games too....cost us the L
I just don't think it was because of inside info. I know the team that raped us with it didn't have ties to testers.

Without a shred of a doubt, that used to occur....and it was flat out BS that it did. I went flat out ballistic over one tester that would run 2 test games a week, and never report a single issue with the sim. Now, why would one be running tests and not ever report any problems
One of the best things Catch did, IMO, is do some massive house cleaning and put firm and clear rules in place. Is there still an advantage to being a tester? Yes, I do believe so. I just don't think it's anywhere near as big as even Steve is describing above (was every bit that bad and worse, IMO, just not anymore).

P.S. There are 2 that I think this about damn near every post they make there ""You gotta be fucking kidding me."...And DB isn't one of them. He actually is a completely different person over there and does a hell of a good job.
Can I plz be testerz too?
Honestly though, its true there are a few testers that have me wondering how they were picked. There are a lot of great minds out there in the game that could be tapped in to for testing and improving the sim. But I feel like that has been ignored for some time now. It appears to me that GLB is more concerned with adding on new features in an attempt to keep everyone "entertained" rather than refine the core of the product that has everyone coming back each season.
I'm of the opinion it has been all the crazy and cooky sim exploits, bugs, and querks that has driven many users off in the past, and yet there are still issues in the sim not addressed. Likewise, new issues with the new additions, plus the aggravation of re-learning how to train a player (for example) will drive even more players away.

If that is whining, you should have heard me after your game against Nairobi where you were exposed as a stumbling OC...
Click Click BOOM!
lol, the FFUUUU wasn't directed at you. sick burn tho bro.
