Commenting on a few things...
LBJ to celtics won't happen...at least not this season, no way lol. Hypothetically if you did get him, it wouldn't work with Pierce still there. Both of them need the ball to be effective and are used to being the first option on teams, but you can work around that. What really kills the idea of LBJ playing with that lineup is there's no shooters...which LBJ needs for when he's constantly driving and getting double teams. Rondo is still a below average shooter (improved tremendously since he came into the league, but he still has a LONG way to go in that area).
Rondo Allen LBJ Kg Perk
would KILL the lineup of
Rondo LBJ Pierce KG perk
and it's not even close. But like you said, they'd probably get rid of Allen before PP so it isn't happening (ok, LBJ coming to the Celtics in the first place isn't even happening lol).
As for the Cavs-Celtics series....if you watched the games you cannot say anything other then LBJ let his team down. HE was the reason the Cavs played like shit and played as if they didn't give a fuck. Mike Brown is a terrible coach, obviously, but LBJ is so talented that if he played like he's capable of they can (and do....back to back 60 win seasons, finals, etc) overcome that. LeBron was the one who let them down, he looked like he didn't want to be there at all and not only could you tell this by his expression but by his play. If you follow basketball, you should know LBJ IS the best player in the NBA. His only weak spots are man on man D and a reliable jumper. Both are at least average though, but not up to par with the rest of his game, which goes to show how good he really is.
The Celtics had an advantage at PG with Rondo for sure. Shooting Guard neither team really had an advantage, but I'd give the edge to the Celtics barely. The difference is SF...LBJ vs Pierce. P squared decided to take the series off and LBJ seemed to like that idea and did the same for game 5 and 6. Power forward neither team had the advantage imo. If Brown wasn't so airheaded he would call some plays for Jamison to exploit his range & massive array of face-up and post-moves that would take some pressure off LBJ for once. He's the first legit all-star James has had to play with, and Brown shit the bed there. That was the difference on why a 70% KG owned Jamison so bad. The C position was probably close to equal too.
There's no excuse for James' play in 2 of the most important games of his career. There's obviously about a million different rumors and whatnot going around as to why James played that way -- this easily being the best:
http://i40.tinypic.com/23t11si.jpg. For all the talk about 'the elbow', you would think if it was that bad he would try and impact the game in other ways, you know, by giving it everything he has, keeping HIS team pumped and confident, playing good D, doing what he can offensively, but no. He did none of that, and it was painfully evident with his play with a minute left in game 6. I'm really glad people see LBJ for who he really is now - a loser. He's been doing dumbass shit for years now but getting away with it because he's "THE KING". His value came down from the potential to pass Jordan as the greatest player of ALL-TIME, to some (casual fans who don't know any better) people thinking he's not even a franchise player or #1 option. Now people are wondering if he will ever develop that killer instinct that all the greats have -- including a lot of active players like Kobe, all 3 of the big 3 on the Celtics, and the guy who will probably surpass LBJ very soon as the #1 player in the NBA,
KEVIN DURANT. Remember that name, he's going to be racking up MVPs starting potentially early as next season at only 21. He already has more clutch in him then LBJ and still hasn't even fully physically developed.
