A couple of levels can make a big difference.

That's not a very good example, their defense is far from the "gold standard".

By the time we get to Hells Demon Seed they will be fully boosted. You can only do so much against a fully boosted team. Those extra points can make a whirl of a difference at the lower levels when leveling out a build.

Given that we gave a fully boosted Sacramento a good run for their money and were tied with 1 second left I would not worry too much about them if I was you. As we basically suck this season it does not speak very highly of them that they could not put us away easily when their overall roster had around 100 more levels than ours.

If you don't keep up I could see SBWL coasting through the rest of the regular season to the first perfect record. Heck they could probably use the same Air Attack Offense for the rest of the year as well.

I should of boosted a day sooner and would be playing for the official championship as well. I should of done the math a lot sooner. Oh well. On to my next goal
Kearey nailed it, doesn't matter how great you are, if your lagging by 550 plus points, chances are your going to lose. 550 is being kind, thats only 2 levels. Throw in 3 levels and your talking about 825 attribute points. Add a Token Boost to that and your talking about 880 points.

...and this is what we seemed to face our last handful of games. We finally boosted some guys, but I'm afraid it's too little too late. The scheduling gods punished us this season for our patience. Oh well.

When we won the first year we were out leveled by 2+... It wasn't three but over 2 cuz we boosted early.

lol I'm not sure what your xps are but I know round 1 we'll be level 13, I think you might have a lot of level 12's. Thats pretty risky for a tourney award.
