WEEK 10 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (10-0) - Kenya is still on vacation for 2 more weeks.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (8-2) - One more week of break until they face the Bandits and then the Bulldawgs. Winning both games will go far in getting the second seed.

#3 Nile Crocodiles (8-2) - On cruise control for the next 3 games.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits (8-2) - On vacation for another week before hitting a 3 game stretch that will decide seeding.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Sterling Bulldawgs (8-2) - Sterling did a good job stifling Nairobis offense this week to come up with a huge win. The Bulldawgs get a 2 week break now before a 3 game nightmare stretch.

#6 Nairobi Death Squad (7-3) - I predicted that defense would be the key in their last but, unfortunately for Nairobi, it was Sterlings defense that made the big difference. This makes them 3-2 against top teams this season but they also can coast the rest of the season to a 13-3 finish.

#7 Colonial Zoners (5-5) - Another bye week before they face off against Burundi in what should be a battle for the 7/8 seeds.

#9 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (4-6) - Win over the Bulls helps set them up for the 8th seed in the playoffs.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (6-4) - Loss to Warriors drops them in rankings and should keep them out of the playoffs.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (3-7) - One more blowout game before their schedule gets easier.

Nowhere Close
#11 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (3-7) - Blowout loss.

#12 Longreach Wildcats (3-7) - Win.

#13 Lyon Flames (2-8) - Blowout loss.

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (1-9) - Blowout loss.

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (1-9) - Blowout loss.

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-10) - Loss.

Week 11 Lion Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

It's a pretty sad week in Lion for games. Every single game should be an easy blowout so there is no GOTW this week. Bad Lion!
Colonial vs Zimbabwe
Hungry vs Sterling
Nile vs West Nile
Kenya vs Alexandria
Fulham vs Patagonia
Longreach vs West Yorkshire
Nairobi vs Lyon
Algeria vs Burundi
BLOWOUTS ALL AROUND

Week 11 Elephant Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

Zimbabwe vs MMM
This should be a close contest (at least on paper to someone unfamiliar with the teams). Both teams have had impressive wins and a few close losses. I think the Rebels recapture the spirit that kept them in the game against the Inferno.

Flashdancing vs Blacc's
The Platypi should take this game. They haven't faced too many of the top teams but they've manhandled middle of the pack teams and right now the Bastards seem to be a middle of the pack team.

San Antonio vs Dogs
The Venom take a shot at the rabid Dogs and come up way short.

Montreal vs Vereenging
One of those games no one really cares about. Are we sure this isn't a Lion game?

Nigerian vs TDP
Nigerian's nightmare won't be ending this week.

Toro vs Inferno
The Nation gets torched when the Inferno blows threw town.

P-Funk vs Covington
The Knights might not be one of the top 4 elite teams but they are no pushovers. P-Funk won't be getting down to the sounds of victory this week.

Barcelona vs Santa Ana
Two similar middle of the road teams duke it out. Barcelona's playoff chances will be gone after this week.

Tied for first I'm sure.

Kenya won 625-0... anybody top that? Also -200 yards of offense allowed. O_o

Week 12 Lion Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

West Yorkshire vs Fulham
The Hellfish gave the Bandits a thorough thumping last season. This season they are looking even better. The Bandits have had a good season so far too but this game starts a 3 week stretch against top playoff teams that could really throw a wrench in the seeding. WY does not want to start this stretch with a loss but I think that Fulham turned a corner near the end of last season and has not let up since.

Colonial @ Burundi
Big tiebreaker game for both teams. If Colonial wins the 7th seed is theirs with a 9-7 record. If Burundi can somehow pull of the upset they will get the 7th seed with a 9-7 record. Odds are likely that neither team will have much of a shot in the first round anyway so the seeding won't matter for anything but pride.

Kenya @ Patagonia
Kenya's perfect season is on the li... oh who am I kidding. Diggits dig the Punishers a deep grave.

Sterling vs Longreach
Dawgs and cats just don't mix and this week the 'Cats get mauled.

Nile @ Alexandria
Time for the Crocs to chomp down on the Aces.

Nairobi @ Zimbabwe
The Death Squad go running with the Bulls and lead them straight to a slaughterhouse.

West Nile vs Algeria
West Nile should stop their 3 game losing streak here.

Lyon vs Hungry
......

Week 12 Elephant Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

Flashdancing @ Dogs
This should be a very good game. Both teams have had a few setbacks but dominated most of their opponents. One could guess that the winner of this game has an inside track to a home playoff game. I'm giving the Dogs a slight edge due to depth but the Platypi have been impressive. Fact only I care about: Sterling has lost to both of these teams in the last 2 seasons opening game.

Covington vs Zimbabwe
Another prospect for game of the week as the 6th & 7th seeds face off this week. The Knights get a slight edge from me for no other reason than Zimbabwe failed me last week. But seriously this should be a top notch game too.

TDP vs Montreal
This week we'll see a clown really cry.

Inferno vs Barcelona
The Blaze surprised me last week but they won't have the same fortunes this week. A blaze just isn't enough of a spark to overcome the inferno.

MMM vs Nigerian
MMM suffers from a wet dream at the prospect of playing Nigerian.

Santa Ana vs P-Funk
The Allstars may be overleveled this week but can their depth overcome that obstacle? Swine Flu can't afford to lose this game with some tough games remaining on their schedule and a pile-up in the mix for the 6-8th seeds.

Blacc's vs Toro
Two middle of the road teams with little chance of making the playoffs will fight it out for pride. Toro has been slightly more impressive in games than the Bastards.

San Antonio @ Vereenging
The Monkeys have 1 win this season. I think that sums it up.

believe us when we say that Zimbabwe's been disappointed with some of the recent games' outcomes as well.

Ecrana, I have to commend you for doggedly stcking to doing rankings and comments even on the CPU and empty teams in Lion. Can't wait to see what you can do next season in a full league. Hopefully APL with us.
