Round 4 result:

This season biggest surprise so far is Glasgow who just ran over Spaniards today.
With a 20 point lead early in the game, the Spaniards never stood a chance of winning.
That gives Glasgow a shocking 2nd place, while Spaniards have had a horrible start, still no wins and on a 14th far away from playoffs atm.

Surprise to whom exactly?

Well seeing you managed 8th last season, a 2nd place so far is certainly a surprise.

Beating IKK in the playoffs last year didn't turn your head?

The Vatican met Vikings in a game i thought they couldn't mess up.
They actually almost did mess up again, but managed to score a game winning FG early in the 4th quarter.
Thats FG gives the Vatican still hope of playoffs even if they only are still holding their 10th while Vikings is still stuck in the relegation fight on a 14th.

Glad we won it, even though it was ugly.

P.S. wayyyy to early in the season to rule teams fighting for relegation and what not, many many more games to be played

Alpha:

Frankfurt - Marseille (Marseille couldn't beat Lyon so they definetly won't beat Frankfurt.)
Glasgow - Reykjavik (I'm afraid our Iclendic friend will get yet another loss here)
IKK FU - Lyon (Top game, hard to say as IKK FU has easy opponents so far. Lyon might surprise but IKK FU are still favourites.)
Sweden - Cork City ( Cork has made troubles for several good teams allready, so i think this will be a close game which can go either way)
Bow Street - Clydesdale (Massacre for Bow Street)
Belfast - Belgrade (Easy win for Belfast)
Limerick - Port St Lucie (Limerick takes this one)
Spaniards - Larryville (Finally Spaniards will get their first victory)

Zeta:

Berlin - Vatican (Just to say something new, Vatican is gonna get toasted by Berlin)
Buffalo - Vikings (Easy win for Buffalo)
Rome - P-Ville (Rome is gonna massacre P-Ville)
London - Kilkenny (Top game. Crucial for both teams and its gonna be close)
Drunken - Tranmere (Drunken should be the stronger team and win)
Fighting Irish - Reading (Fighting Irish will have no trouble)
Shamrocks - BC (Again a crucial game which most likely has to be won to get into playoffs. Shamroick is my guess, but it probably will be close)
Muncih - Leeds (Muncih wins)

Thanks for noticing and pointing this out...now who exactly are we going to sneak up on?!?

In all seriousness, thanks for the preview. It adds to the fun!

BTW: how do I bold a line...you can see I didn't quite figure it out..

Glasgow hasn't beaten a really good team yet. Our oppenents record is 4-12. The best team we've played is the belfast commandos, and we only beat them by a field goal. The frankfurt and ikk fu games will tell us where we stand. We will likely defeat reykjavik and lyon (although we should not look past either team). Then we get our most difficult test against frankfurt.

Round 5 results

Alpha:

Frankfurt were huge favourites against Marseille, but just couldn't get their offense going for once.
Mraseille on the other hand took yard after yard until they were forced to make FG.
After the first half Marseille was clearly dominating having gained a small lead.
However in the second half Marseille had gotten to tired and Frankfurt managed to get their offense going and score the games only TD.
Marseille struck back, but couldn't hold off Frankfurt.
With little time left they desperatly tried to get a point, but got stopped just outside FG range giving frankfurt a 1 point victory.
So Frankfurt still leads Alpha, while Marseille fell down to 8th and is in a very insecure position.

Despite pleas from Reykjavik manager, Glasgow refused to let them score one point, taking an easy victory.
Glasgow still holds 2nd while Reykjavik's stays at the relegation spot.

IKK FU met Lyon and had full controll of the game, murdering Lyon's pass defense.
IKK FU still holds the 3rd place while Lyon did not get any closer to the playoffs but is still in the fight on their 9th.

Sweden met Cork City in what was expected to be a very close game.
Cork opened best though advanced very slowly and as they were just half an yard from the endzone they were forced to kick a FG instead.
However Sweden managed to come back minutes after with a FG of their own.
As the second half started, Cork passed themself towards the endzone, but again when getting into the redzone were stopped and had to make a FG.
After that neither side managed to gain the upper hand, and Sweden desperatly kicked one FG after the other from very long range in a hope to get OT.
Cruel was fate as they did manage that, with 25 seconds left of the game.....
In OT neither team could do much, with Sweden closest as they tried yet another long range FG.
So second tie in the history of our league.
Sweden still holds 4th while Cork went up one place to 10th and still got a chance for the playoffs.

Bow Street met Clydesdale and well, to say it was a massacre would be to mildly.
It was Genocide as there was nothing left when Bow Street attacked or defended.
Bow Street still follows on 5th while Clydesdale is down to 13th

Belfast massacred Belgrade giving them a 6th place which is far from secure.

Limerick seemed to have full control over Port ST Lucie when they fell asleep at the end of the game allowing 2 TD. Still it wasn't enough for Port ST Lucie to win sending Limerick up to 7th while Port St Lucie is close to relegation at 14th.

Spaniards massacred Larryville and got their first victory sending them up to 12th, but still far away from playoffs atm.

Zeta:

Berlin massacred Vatican holding the lead of Zeta, while Vatican dropped further down to 12th, but still not out of the playoff fight.

Buffalo took an easy victory over Vikings and still hold second.
Vikings still in the relegation fight.

Rome massacred P-Ville but still only holds 3rd.

Drunken met Tranmere in a very close game.
Drunken was clearly the best team forcing Tranmere to only make FG's.
Even though Drunken scored several TD's they still allowed Tranmere to score a FG every tme, which actually made it a close game.
In the end Tranmere got tired and didn't even manage to get into FG range, giving the victory to Drunken.
Drunken is now on a secure 4th place while Tranmere is still right outside the playoffs on 9th.

The big game were between Kilkenny and London in another close game.
Neither team seemed to get their offense going very well in the first quarter, but Kilkenny scored the games first TD early in the second quarter.
After some more struggling offense, London turned it around with a TD and then intercepting and getting a FG.
Being on a good roll now, London started off second half with yet another FG.
Kilkenny could not come up with anything and were forced back to their own redxzone where they had to punt and give London a third FG.
And as London in the 4th quarter made another interception followed by a FG it looked real dark for Kilkenny.
Then divine intervention happened as Londons PR had forgotten to tie his shoelaces and fell forcing London to start in their own redzone.
Kilkenny took advantage of this stopping London, then scoring a TD.
With morale high Kilkenny scored the game winning TD 28 seconds before the game ended, securing them an undeserved victory. (because the PR was clearly a bug)
Kilkenny moved up to a more secure 5th place, while London is fighting to stay in the playoffs on a 6th now.

Fighting Irish massacred new team Camelot holding their 7th.

Shamrocks had a close game against BC, but outlasted them as BC got tired in the 4th quarter. Shamrocks still hold their 8th, while BC still hold their 11th.

Munich had no problem against Leeds and is now up on 10th

Nice game by Cork really beat the hell out of us we got some tired defensive players after that one but we'll recover in time for the next game.
