Ivory Coast Breakers (11-0) And still there was one. ICB dropped a bomb on Uganda last one, 49-3. Tiger Bay ran all day vs the Silverbacks: 41 rushes for 236 yds, and 44 broken tackles. And KR/PR Jenson Lemon landed a couple of haymakers, including a 101.5 yd KR in the 4th Q (to rub it in). Though to be fair, ICB shut down the Silverbacks run game, with neither Uganda HB breaking 2 ypc. ICB looks to have hit stride, just as the biggest games come rolling up. Next up: ABD (10-1)
Angola Blood Diamonds (10-1) A hard fought 30-24 win over Kilimanjaro. ABD lost it's 20-7 lead to two big plays from the Sting, but stayed strong and re-took command of the game for the win. It was 3 yards and a cloud of dust for ABD, as they only tested the Sting secondary 5 times, and averaged 3.8 ypc -- and keeping possession for 41 minutes of the game. A good way to keep the other team for scoring is not letting them have the ball. And yet another 1 vs 2 matchup for the Elephantites. GAME OF THE WEEK: vs Ivory Coast (11-0)
MaRAWK!! o (9-2) Well, at least ranking one and two was easy. MaRawk benefits from a one point loss to a very good team and one of the better showings against the best team in the conference (thus far). They're also looking pretty rolling through the jr. division for the time being, most recently ripping through Sahara. Next up: Dogs of War (4-7)
Uganda Silverbacks (9-2) Drops two spots after a harsh 3-49 loss to ICB. It's now time to fight for a home playoff game, and for that a win next week is vital. Next up: Kalahari (10-1)
Kalahari Bushmen (10-1) 133-10 over Deutschland. Over the next four games, the Bushmen get to establish where they belong in Elephant's hierarchy. Coach RonnieBrown's vacation is definitely over. Now it's time for 25 hour workdays. GAME OF THE WEEK II - Next up: Uganda (9-2)
Kilimanjaro Sting (8-3) 24-30 vs ABD. It's hard to rank the Sting this low, especially after such a hard fought game vs ABD. The Sting have proven they can play, and are a virtual lock for the playoffs, but will have their work cut out for them for home playoff money. Not necessarily next game, but soon. Next up: Nigerian (1-10)
Mayotte Metal Militia (7-4) Mayotte rolled over chemistry plagued Covington, and QB Testycoucou had a 300 yd game and threw over 4 TDs - that's very impressive passing numbers for '14. Two consecutive wins has the vibe in the island feeling alot more optimistic. Two big games in a row coming up will test the new streak. Next up: TDP (8-3)
The Dead Presidents (8-3) TDP took a 2nd quarter lead against the Dogs of War and held on to it with a grip of steel in downing the DoW 37-20. The Dogs just couldn't contain TDPs trio of backs. The Dead Ones are now in good position to hold out for the playoffs, despite four very tough games coming up. GAME OF THE WEEK III Next up: MMM (7-4)
Dogs of War (4-7) A first quarter lead evaporated rapidly in the 2nd, as the DoW could only answer Dead President touchdowns with FGs. Never able to mount a serious comeback, the Dogs could only watch as their playoffs hopes slipped away. Now only an impossible upset next week could open up a ray of hope. Next up: MaRawk!! o (9-2)
Santa Ana Swine Flu (4-7) 133-0 over P-Town, the Hands boys get to romp again next week: Sahara (1-10)
Covington Black Knights (5-6) 15-54 vs Mayotte. The Black Knights more than likely get to go back to .500 for a week before heading into an abattoir-like final four games. Next up: Deutschland (2-9)
Barcelona Blaze (2-9) A much needed win for the Blaze in a 38-13 win over Nigerian. Maybe we should have a jr division playoffs, sort of like the NIT. No.9 down in both conferences play. Next up: P-Town (0-11)
Nigerian Nightmares (1-10) Disappointing 13-38 loss to Barcelona. A very tough season so far for Nigerian, but at least a couple fun games ahead on the horizon. Not next week, though. Next up: Kilimanjaro (8-3)
Deutschland Dööm (2-9) A huge level disparity against the next opponent is probably going to be too much, chemistry advantage aside. The Doom are just hanging on, waiting to be another season older. Next up: Covington (5-6)
Sahara ShadowChasers (1-10) I can't wait 'til the ShadowChasers/Ballaz game, can you?
P-Town Ballaz (0-11) If Dumbledore and Gandalf got in a fight, Gandalf would win. Right, Dumbledore can shoot flames and stuff out of his wand, but Gandalf sometimes doesnt need no weapon. His power is inside him. And we all know Dumbledore can't come back to life. But Gandalf, Gandalf returned as a more powerful being. Gandalf could make a huge crater below Dumbledore, and Dumbledore would have fell. Then Gandalf could refill it. A staff is much bigger than a wand, so I think a staff could carry more power. Sure, a wand could come in handy sometimes, but a staff is more bigger and could carry more magic. I also belive that Gandalf is more wise than Dumbledore.Dumbledore only knows stuff about Hogwarts, secrets about Harry Potter, and things about Voldemort. But Gandlaf knows much more. Dumbledore is a wizard, but he is also a human. Gandalf on the other hand is an immortal spirit. He died, but returned as Gandalf The White. Well, there you have it. I've given you a ton of reasons why Gandalf would win. Anyone who says Dumbledore has probably only watched the movies and really doesnt understand Gandalfs power. Next up: Barcelona Blaze (2-9)
