What game did we lose that were to bad people? We lost to the bears by a FG in OT and they definitely weren't bad. We'll just wait and see how many wins we get.

Man shaun, you hold onto that game like its a loving memory.

Yet conveniently discounts the ass kickings they received from Houston, Sphere, Texas, and Tallahassee.

Look, a blind squirrel came a FG away from finding a nut. Good job.

I laughed, but then I felt bad about it...

Who cares? Boosting early and boosting late only has a marginal difference and will only make a big difference over many seasons where that extra XP adds up to 2 or 3 levels.

Oh well. All I know is that I boosted for the first time this season and that we improved and according to matchups, we are equal or better than a lot of teams.

Matchup is worthless.

Why?

Also I think the matchup only reads starters...just my uninformed opinion.

Correct, but Dafus gave up on logic along time ago, you would think he would go read the math on it but...meh I am happy with our choice to boost early.

He's actually right. But considering the your infamous choke job last year, who's to say which is the best strategy?

Last season our offense could not buy a plugged nickel to save our lives. We had only one game where the offense found its identity and scored over 20 points. Defense was totally the opposite of what you described.. it was our strength.. many teams in USA A#8 had trouble scoring against us. Had our offense done anything worth a crap, we would have had home field in the playoffs rather than sit with battle for the final spot which, we did get into the playoffs. Last year 5 of out 7 losses were within striking distance of a win had maybe one or two questionable things went our way.. And I even made a suggestion last season that 4th and short situations inside the 40 did not accurately depict the natural flow of the game. In many cases the 4th and sshort issue cost us at least 5 games.

We are a much better team than it seems.. its just some small critical things that went wrong and our offense stunk.

Austin Longhorns Positives :
---------------------------------
Didn't lose any starters, only traded them for upgrades.
Improved our OT, TE, LBs & P. We should be able to avoid having those games where the defense is on the field for 100+ plays.
Secondary is still solid.
Improved jerseys & logo en route.

Austin Longhorns Negatives :
---------------------------------
Western Conference is hard as hell
Imbalance on OL
Lack of WR & RB/FB depth terrifies me

Outlook : Fighting for the 8th spot with a bunch of other teams. Ticked that our game vs. the East ends up being the Steel Heads. I see lots of games going down to the wire for us... let's see how the ball bounces.

Seriously Cerneo... it'd be no fun if you left. Solid writeups... now I gotta go find those Week 1 predictions.
