That's because people don't like you.

What is separating the top of the WL from the bottom of the WL is the middle of the WL

If this game ever gets really competitive in the regular season I'd expect to see top teams carrying two coordinators each for O and D to trade off games and share the load.

No...No I f*cking don't.

Here's a paraphrase, just because I like you:

LOLTactics in current setup as some teams are just too good to be out-tactic'ed.

Builds plus uberteams is the way currently.

Eventually n00bs will catch up and make it more balanced as more teams will have available stud builds.

Then tactics will matter more.

Then nobody will want to coordinate....because they won't be able to coast.

Self-defeating prophecy.

I think D tactics/base mean much more then O tactics,

Our game against TKW they killed us, then we scrimmaged them and barely won (only thing that changed really was D)

Depends...In this sim if you have a b*tchin D' line...You can get away with a sh*t ton more than most....Worlds open for you.

Which reverts back to...build.

Which is an inherent problem IMO.

I wish teams owned the gear, then we could see more efficiently built players that are set up for specific schemes.

One problem is FAgency and replacing dots that fit the team with ones that don't quite fit it.

Teams owning the gear would also discourage gut and merges, wouldn't it?

WAAAAYYYYYY back in the day, when there was more dotcare than there is currently on the team forums etc....as I was first coordinating I used to post threads and ask folks if they wouldn't mind scouting to help me out.

I can't tell you how many of these instances I've had cricketed....or seen as a third party.

It's pretty impressive TBH....

OC:

"Dude, can somebody check out these guys in Pro Set for me?"

Team Owner:

"Yeah, if anyone wants to help I'll throw you some scout powers etc and we'll get a private forum etc"

*crickets*

Or...even better...

"I'd like to do that"

"Cool man!"

Person who would "like to do that" disappears forever.

On one hand, it is quite disturbing from a coordinator perspective.

But on the other hand, from a life perspective, I must privately assume the collective GLB playerbase up a few ticks in IQ for not wanting to partake in dot-watching.

I think a number of the best WL coordinators could make stock AIs that without change would be better than what most pro teams do with heavy adjustments and scouting.

Not really sure about pro tbh but it's at least close. Definitely AAA.

You can use a stock AI for defense if you have a great D-line.

You can use a stock AI for offense if you can pass effectively in your league.

I've been running a 90% stock AI on MPHD for several seasons (as anyone who scouted our games closely can tell you).

Yeah, every time I make drastic changes to my DAI, I seem to get slaughtered. Better to stick with what you know.
