It was actually the first -gate in GLB history

Dong Energy made a phishing site to get all this information such as usernames and passwords, then they used them to sign into people's accounts and switch around their tactics before each game, so they were pretty much unbeatable lol

it was way more then just a phishing site me thinks.

That's kind of the point. SLAP was pathetic compared to CPL.

I think it was some off-site poll they had set up that contained a keylogger or something.

I dunno, something like that. I know it was disguised as some league-friendly service they were doing for everyone else.

I am pretty sure it was a website that they did power rankings on, maybe wrote some other things.

I don't think Providence was around for it, but how'd the last CPL/SAPL challenge go for CPL?

No idea, but didn't Mayan go from good but not great in CPL to dominant in SLAP?

It took them a few seasons to be dominant in SLAP

I was in both SLAP and CPL for a few seasons. SLAP seasons 9 and 11, CPL seasons 8-11 (I believe)

Neither were all that great. I would say CPL had the better top teams, but SAPL had more parity.

Not really. They went 11-5 in the CPL losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs, their losses came to ND Huskies(former WL team), KC Rams(current WL team), Haliblack, Thunder Bay(only non WL team they lost to) and Drinkin(beat them in the reg. season and playoffs). Then went to the SAPL and went 15-1, losing in the champ game. However, the Mayans were always a young team so it's not surprising they got that much better...they probably would have been that dominant in the CPL with the CPL losing 3 of the 5 teams that beat them that year.(ND, Drinkin and Haliblack)

It was 8-2 SAPL won. It didn't mean much because most of the better CPL teams didn't participate. CPL was probably better on average but not a lot better.

Discounting guts, Mayan averaged 43.5 points and allowed 31.7 in S10 of the CPL. In S11 upon joining SLAP, they scored an average of 49.1 points and allowed only 12.1. That's a pretty huge difference.

Fail.

S10 was the season before the WL, all the pro leagues were way tougher especially SAPL and CPL. Mayan was also a young team so had significant year on year improvement. They would have done the same thing in CPL in S11.
