Top teams destroying or not, the league is more competitive/has the opportunity to be more competitive than any other Pro league. Feed the top teams into one league and it will generally be more competitive, and also help even the playing field on the Pro levels as well.

(i wasn't talking about you, was talking about the people who think that removing the 1-3 super teams from each pro league makes those leagues less competitive.)

if anything it makes them much less. Looking even in USAPL there are many AAA teams that will be playoff teams that would not feel the sense of accomplishment in a pro league without the WPL.

I think the teams who don't like the wl, are the teams who liked 10-14 cupcake games per season, and relying solely on talent to win. Now that the cream has risen to the top, they hate the fact that the only reason for any success they had was predicated on being able to find this site 1st, now that they are engulfed with top teams around them, and they realize they can't cut it, they want to go back to "competitive leagues" where they can beat up on inferior competition, and make threads about being the best at this game.
That being said there is something to those rankings, and all the discussion that was to be had, now we all know who the top 7 teams, are and nobody but these 7 even have a shot, so everyone keeps quiet and these forums are essentially dead.
Maybe bort should have some wl people, whose only job it is to do interviews with all the people who got here, how they got here, more rankings, and something to liven this community up. Rankings for each game, well thought out predictions. Would definitely add to these forums, and would get more than a couple teams involved
