You can still think you can win and hope you do win. On the other hand to blindly pick your team every week . . . isn't really douchey . . . but I'd rate it more douchey than picking against your team.

Douchey was a poor choice of words, I think the point that he was trying to convey was that he wants to show his team and his coordinators that he has confidence in their ability to win every game so he picks MEM to win every week. He just conveyed it poorly.
