I'm not sure that LB build is possible, and if so it certainly won't be the average player. Just getting the 120/85 eats up so many SPs for a linebacker (especially since speed is a secondary attribute), that I don't think you can get 3 more 70s and 2 60s.

Maybe in your 10th season if you ignore VAs, but I'm going to call you out on that one. Of course you probably already have a guy thats close, so I'm sure I'll be proven wrong.

My thoughts exactly. Further, I don't think anyone would NEED 120 speed out of a linebacker--CBs already stick like glue to WRs with outrageous speed and most of them are high agility rather than 120 speed types.

Who said anything about a LB? Good DCs will be using SS to cover speed receiving TEs. With scouting you can tell difference between a speed receiving TE, and with tagging you can set your defense up different for 3 different TEs.

still those attribute #'s are inflated

but that's exactly what I hope my TE does, make D's adjust. Pull a SS over to cover my TE, then we run left or up the middle. Or draw multiple guys deep so RB's are open underneath.

I don't feel a 3rd cap speed TE will force D's to make these adjustments. They'll just use their fastest LB and take their chances.

I'm guessing most receiving builds will 4th or 5th cap speed.

My TE will have superior speed and agility compared to your builds in Pro so don't count him out. Does a 3rd cap speed TE really scare anybody in Pro? And it takes you 9 seasons to get there? Now I see why you need so much catching. Cause he's rarely gonna get open. You probably gonna need Go 2 Guy to get the ball.

If you think I'm simply going to 3 cap speed/agility you're insane. I'm going to 3 cap carrying first then move onto speed/agility. Probably bring it up to 68/68 and put either all or split equip between catching/speed/agility. Really undecided at this point. But I need to get catching to 68 and vision to 62 first.

Also, the plan isn't to "blow by people"... it's to knock them the fuck over. I know he'll get blanketed. I could really care less as long as he is still thrown to.

Receiving builds need to bring speed/agility to the 77/78 cap, and maybe speed to 81.

However, you want to bring catching to 2nd cap, strength to 2nd cap, vision to 1st cap, carrying to 1st cap. Then take speed/agility up. Take advantage of the level gains in catching/strength/vision.

Tend to disagree here... Speed is only my 4th highest attr.

You've had an illustrious career. What one nugget could you give us (out of the many you've learned)?

That carrying is a HELLUVA lot more important than anybody thinks in coming down with a clean reception/preventing knocked looses and dropped balls.

Edit: Especially at Pro levels. I've been in the pro's my entire career, and seen many others TE's builds

How high would you bring carrying to? 60 cap? 68 cap?

Honestly depends on what level league you are playing in nowadays. I just always kind of kept increasing it to keep pace with the LBers in the pro leagues KL every single ball. Oh and I finished near the 4th cap

My TE is nowhere close to this and has done just fine in the pros.

Nice Nottom!!

1) He looks to have a boatload of agility??
2) Are you using First Step??
3) Are you using creative route running??

That seems to answer my struggle to pump up more speed or agility.

Honestly, most would probably claim his build is garbage, and its certainly not ideal since he was one of my first guys. Agility and speed are both in the low-mid 70s base.

No first step, only SA from AEq is One Hand Catch. Has a bunch of the receiving SAs except Lower Shoulder.

Yeah, he uses creative.
