as someone who GM'ed/coordinated Guadalcanal, Mayan, and Buffalo (OPL, SAPL, and SEAPL) and competed against the best each of those leagues had to offer, I think one team at best from those leagues will make the playoffs this season. The teams are good/great when competing against teams within their own league but as scrimmages showed countless times last season, when they go up against the top teams they just aren't in the same league. Of all the non-USAPL teams, I think Manitoba/Manus have the best shot. For the most part, I expect the playoff teams to be returning WPL teams and USAPL teams. So pretty much BFM, SoCal, LSP, Marblehead, Drygerian, Cincy, Monmouth, Lincoln in Alpha and Drinkin, Santiago, MPHD, Stewart, OTR, HHW, 3KW, Bonn, and New Jersey in Zeta which means Manitoba/Manus have their work cut out for them just to make it to the playoffs. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see every single one of the newly promoted teams be one and done in the WPL.
and lol @ decline having an impact. Again - people are over stating the effect that will have. Decline won't kick in for most players until late in the season and by then the play offs will be decided and those teams that are banking on decline to help them will be long eliminated from the playoffs.
