I thought Randey summed it all up pretty well early on in this thread but it is apparent that you and Vegas might be sharing a half of a brain so I don't think anything will sink in. Take the Top 5 teams and list their 5 starting FS's, then put yourself in the everybody else mix!

Comparative stats (Duke : Possible)
Ms Tk : 2:12
Tk/PD Ratio (generally a DB has a low tackle to pd ratio. If it's high either he's not good or his front 7 isn't good): 77/23 : 34/29

It's hard to statistically compare DBs, as I've said. However, having 6 times as many missed tackles is pretty bad. Also, I'm sure that more balls are thrown Possible's way, and he has less PDs than Duke. The best statistical indicator of good DB play is forced incompletion rate (how many times he swats the ball, intercepts it, or knocks it loose from the receiver)

Now I can look through to give you a forced incompletion rate if you want, but if I do and Possible doesn't have the best %, you'll have to concede that he isn't the best. My guess is he isn't even that close with that low of PDs.

Outside the two builds I can see, here's some in your conference that actually are great FS's and aren't the only good players on their defense.

My player is better than ALL FS IN THE LEAGUE. PERIOD. I know how to build a FS. I know it hurts RJ. Why fight it? He is a GREAT PLAYER. The best at his position. Has always been a standout, and doesnt sandbag like some. You prob would have beat ABD if he was your FS and ABD had your FS.

Yah, because the rest of his team mopped you up before he had a chance to come up to the LOS! FS's should ideally have NO TACKLES.

If the Corner does his job, then the FS doesn't need a tackle, and if the LB's, OL do their jobs, no one gets five yards downfield for a FS to come up on the ballcarrier! Don't you understand that? A FS should have a high pd and int to tackle ratio, not the other way around.

See that is the misnomer. Strength isnt as important as speed for your FS if they play centerfield, if they cant get to the guy, you cant make the tackle. Yes my guy will miss a tackle at times, but also makes an extraordinary amount of plays to run down people.

Plus thanks for putting a bunch of 60+ level guys up there, all are inferior to my guy. I love it.

Hey Vegas, does it matter their levels? Didn't mister "ibegood" say he was the best? Levels shouldn't matter, especially at these levels, so whats a couple levels, plus 1 or 3 speed? It takes 5sp's to boost the main attributes, so all they are doing at these levels is pumping SA's, raising stamina, confidence, or whatever attribute they feel needs work on. Their speed / agility / vision has been where it is for some seasons now with only minor changes, I'd bet anything. Even if your FS is a burner, he sucks at everything else, a FS needs a lot more than just speed. I'm not going to sit here and bother to tell you what all he needs to be successful either. I have a feeling if you knew, you'd have had a competitive team some seasons ago with real talent on it.
