Complicated Excel sheet. It takes a ton of time to input all of the teams and schedules at the beginning of the season, but not too much time to update with scores and tournament games.

Kind of disappointing. All this time I was picturing the process as more of a pencil, paper, and an abacus thing.

This is season two for my automated rankings. I do fantasy football projections using a statistical formula (and pretty well IMO), so I used a similar formula to rank pro teams in GLB.

The formula takes strength of schedule and margin of victory/loss into account. I used league games, PWT games, Hazy's games, TOC games, regional challenges, and traveling trophy defenses. All feedback is welcome.

Every team that made the top 20, the LARS was within 8 places of, including 12 that were within 3 places of perfection. 21-25 saw a huge dropoff in accuracy, but I suppose that is to be expected the farther down you drop.

I have no idea how you guys stay up there. Your only solid win was against Machu Pichu. Hanging within 5 of Santiago and 3 of WWW is probably what is keeping you guys near the top.

Charleston doesn't rank high enough in my formula to consider that a solid win. I think those close losses are more the reason for your high ranking than all of the wins against teams in the 50-100 range.
