You do apparently, since you used 2 paragraphs on explaining your position on it.

One, most of these slow-built teams like ours have neglected strength and tackling and their team just eats that shit up. As shown against Warsaw though, a creative DC with a strong defense can shut them down.

Just a point of contention with this statement....Chubby Wizards ARE a slow build team as well....just built differently then the rest of the cookie cutter slow builds out there.

Yea but they are 2-3 seasons older than most other teams so that sorta makes a difference.

And like I said, "Most" slow-built teams. I give the Chubby Wizards some credit for not being cookie cutter, but alas, I think that the lack of diversity will kill their offense long-term. Their defense is tremendous though.

I actually did make some predictions in this thread. Quite a few actually. One I was wrong about was that the Chubby Wizards would struggle because this season would be anti-run. One big one was that one of the promoted teams would win the Conference, which we're still to see.

I think you have a pretty simplistic view of the game. First, only one of those "top 4" teams have 10 levels on us. Second, well built players with better game planning and great organization can beat a 10 level disadvantage over average players on teams with glaring weaknesses. So that said, I will guarantee you that there is more than 1 "upset" by the "2nd tier" teams over the "top tier" teams. In fact, if I had to wager today, I'd bet that one of the 2nd tier teams takes home the Conference Championship this season.

I don't have a simplistic view of the game, I have a realistic one. The top teams simply have way more SPs to work with, even if they misplaced half of them, they are still at a major advantage. What you described is a major exception to the rule - an incredibly poorly built team with a bone stupid gameplan against a perfect slow build using the best gameplan devised. Is it possible? Yes, that's why I left open the possibility for an upset.

Here, those teams are likely just to have put SP into majors and secondaries, which means far more softcap attributes than the other teams. AT THIS LEVEL, that is the most important thing. When you are talking about 40s vs. 50s, there is simply a better chance, because at the second and third caps, with increases costing +2 and +3 SP per, you can make up for it much more easily. But 25s vs. 35s? It is extremely unlikely those teams will pull off an upset.

AS FOR YOUR BET I'LL TAKE IT. We'll keep it simple, $10. You've got 7 teams to my 4.

I'll be PMing you my Paypal info as soon as the Beasts lose their next game.

haha, naw. I never really agreed to the bet at the time. It would be shady for me to take it at this point when it's quite in my favor. I just like being right. Warsaw is going to take this btw.

I was pretty damn wrong about all of this. I just take solace in that all of the higher level teams will be moving up and Krakow can go back to being a highly competitive team.

My vote is for the Four Horsemen. I don't see the Wizards having success running the ball against them.
