I also believe it is completely fucked up that CKT (lvl 29) will be playing with a league full of 50's. And nowhere in your long winded post did you mention a single scenario that will be similar to what CKT (and yes CY too) will have to go thru next season. And that is a mediocre team who went a whopping 1-1 in the playoffs WOW, will get promoted to a level 50 league... with recommended levels of up to 64 (I think). What business does a team, that goes 14-4 in an even league, have by moving to a level 50 league? CKT will take the high road though and put up with a 0-16 season. Which means we will probably be demoted back to EEA#1 next season. But don't for a second think any example you made is similar to a 29 team playing 16 games in a 50 league.
But I guess you hypocrites will just say I'm crying. Now off I go to get 16 ass whoopings, and we'll see you back in EEA#1 next season. Good luck.
Again, I thought I had addressed this- we came into EEA1 in Season 6. It was uncapped, no BBB league underneath- this was the lowest level. We had to recruit a team of nobodies with no prospects of winning anything that season. I expected to win maybe two games, considering how badly outgunned we were and with no stadium, we had no chance to compete against people with established stadiums. We had two choices:
1) Go slow build, take our lumps, and hope to be competitive in three or four seasons.
2) Try to be competitive with what we had as quickly as possible.
The first choice is the smart choice and many take it. But it's somewhat boring to me to sit around and do nothing. Luzit agreed and so we played our asses off, despite the fact that I had a FB and CB that was in the low teens playing level 40 and 50's. We ended up winning a few more games than I expected, but we still went 5-11 our first season and barely scraped by on paying folks, which went the only stadium upgrades were coming from the loan. But we still had a good time and prepped for Season 7, where our guys were a little better and we made a run at the playoffs, lost in the first round, and ended up at least positive on the cash flow for the year. We put a little more into the stadium, and came into Season 8 competitive with many of the teams here, but we still lack the stadium that the BBBs provided you folks. Not bitching, just explaining part of why we have a small stadium that many of you wondered about early in the season. At least this time, we're ending with a decent set of cash and can at least finish the bottom tier.
Anyways, I hope this coming season, we regroup and push through to win it all. If not, I hope we do well enough to move up to EEAA, where we will struggle, fight, and in a few seasons, move up. Just like we have done here.
I applaud all the teams that moved up and stick with it. And I think you'll find that you guys will do well against the teams in EEAA- I know, because we played them a season or two back. You guys have good players and great gameplanning, and gameplanning can win it. You'll also find that some of the teams like the Smexies may start to implode after moving up- it's the nature of GLB.
