If we had run Strong I Slam fulltime against MM I don't see any way we beat them. There are about 10-15 plays (both running and passing) that can be just as successful as the Strong I slam if you have the right personnel and run them at the right time.

We put up nearly 600 yards of offense against MM, which was a hell of a lot more than ANY of the Strong I slam teams put up and still controlled the ball for nearly 2/3rds of the game.

If running the same play all game was our best chance for success, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but that's not the case for everyone.

GG Banzai, cya next season....GL in the CCG

Classy, NeoDR.

I can't fault the teams that are winning by doing it, but I sure wish Bort could have gotten his head out of his ass and conducted a poll (the results of which overwhelmingly favor fixing cheesy exploits) a few weeks ago so we could have had reasonably fair and balanced playoffs.

Amen brother, If I thought breaking out those pictures I have of Nautilus with that goat would give us a victory I would do it in a skinny minute. In the end I don't think that will be the key to victory so I will keep them to myself and enjoy them in private..

i just looked at some of the game, and I didn't realize your defenders bouncing off our RB's had anything to do with the play call.

We are a running team, always have been, going back for seasons upon seasons.

Has alot to do with in game energy TBH...

1st Game:
34 rushes with 18 broken tackles .52 broken tackles per rush
-You say good job defending run even that we did a good job of gameplanning.

71 rushes with 41 broken tackles .57 broken tackles per rush
-You say you didn't realize defenders bouncing of our RBs had anything to do with play call.

It is ok to admit you guys converted to Islam to win at all costs

I respect your team, players and decision. Goodluck man!

LOL we had 77 missed tackles, damn power backs Hey at least we completely shut down Pipelines passing attack. LOL !!! GG and good luck next game.

Thanks to all the teams and owners for making this season the most fun of any season so far for the Tigers. I love the competitiveness each and every week. Tigers will be back again in S9, see you all then.

King Stones has never been shutout before. Congrats.

I also have no idea what was up with the QB draw at the beginning of the game. That was nowhere in our AI. I would have been pissed if we would have given up a safety because of that. It did work though, so MUV better be prepared to stop the QB Draw out of Shotgun.

I really don't understand all the complaining about the SI Slam. There is nothing more entertaining then watching dot handoff to dot 130 times a game. It cured the "arena league" tag that GLB had in the previous season.

I thought he looked a lot like Czonka on that draw play.

If we can get 3.5 yards per play, let's just run it all game.

Helluva good game WSI. Timely fumbles for us - can't believe you guys got a 29-yard completion on 3rd and 10 at the end. That was the game there. No malice from me for doing what works. We all play the same game with the same rules. So close though.

Yep good game

And I remember you back from the old usa ccc days

<- old orlando pirates gm/player

good to see you guys are still around

You know its working well, if you don't feed your running game, then its your own fault.

But we've got to assume that we're going to continue getting SISlammed every fucking game, and I have a responsibility to the agents on my team, to the DC who is dealing 59 fucking SI Slams per game from Halifax, and to the owner who brought me on to put our team in the best position to win.

and this.

As DC of Tigers, I feel I need to share my view of the game.

77 missed tackles is obviously a lot, but not ridiculous considering 69 rushes. That's 1.12 missed tackles per play. Nothing special when playing vs powerbacks.

Banzai had 9 drives in the game and dispite 5.3 yard average, 5 of those drives were stopped for no score.
Tigers had 10 drives in the game scoring a TD and two FGs. 7 drives were stopped for no score.

Tigers had their chance and the strong I rush did not decide the game, Banzai defense did their part and it was a good team effort.

I guess it's a boring strategy, but this is the pros, not the casual league. GG banzai and good luck. I advice you to try some strong I passes on 1st down vs Voodoo
