- The only exception to the resale is for inactive owners. We will still give an active GM the option of taking over the team, to encourage continuity on the team. If they don't want it, though, it goes to the top person on the wait list.

If a owner doesn't plan to renew his ownership, is it possible to let the current members in the team, like GM, take over the team?

Case by case is the best answer I can give. Yes, we want to encourage team continuity. We don't want people just adding a GM to their team for the sole purpose of circumventing the system, though.

Maybe check when the GM was added to the job? For example, one of the requirement can be that the GM has to be on the job for at least one season.

GREAT IDEA!

There is a problem though... 3 days inactive and your off the list? Maybe that should be bumped to something a little more reasonable like 5 days?

Just because of business trips, weekend get aways or even a hellish work week that prevents a normally very active and "veteran" player from getting a team that he or she probably deserves. 3 days just seems a little steep.

Love the idea though...

If you're not going to be active, you don't need a team. That simple. I realize sometimes people have to go out of town and what have you. However, only active players need teams. That means logging in every 3 days.

yeah, we'd have a minimum time that a GM would have to GM before he could take over.

I must say I'm surprised you're going to the trouble of doing a waiting list.

Other than that, it seems fine to me, with one exception - that your spot on the list is set by account creation date.

Right now, I don't want a team. However, in a year, I might. I don't think it would be very fair to someone who signed up after me, but sat on the waiting list for 15, 30, 60 days waiting for his team to get bumped just because I changed my mind.

I would only have account creation date count for a certain number of days - like 60 or 90.

Bort and DD I have a suggestion. Since the owners that bought teams in season one will have to rebuy their teams soon, could you make it so that these owners would have a set amount of time ( like 2 days) to rebuy their team? This way their would be a better chance of someone on the waiting list getting a team.

Make it a formula that takes into account your time spent on the waiting list and your account creation date.

Ideally, if two people joined the waiting list and one had an earlier join date they would be ahead of the other. However, if that other person joined the waiting list say 60 days earlier, the later join date would still be behind (Unless he had joined ALOT earlier than the other player).

It would need to be tweaked, but thats probably the most efficient way of handling it.

Will we have the option to switch leagues again with the upcoming expansion?

I had very much been wanting to get into an Africa Pro League team, prior to the expansion 4 weeks ago (and in fact had had some PM discussions with Bort about that possibility)

When it became clear that no new regions would be added, i purchased a team in South America AAA, but if it is still possible to have my team moved to Africa Pro when it gets created, i'd like to take advantage of that opportunity.

I'd make it real simple - your spot is determined by account creation date, or 60(or 90 days), which ever is more recent.

yeah i like that idea. It could be like if person A is on the waiting list 10 days before person B and Person B created his account 11+ days ahead of person A then person B is higher on the wait list. But say person B created his account 9 days or lowerbefor person As then Person A is higher. The only problem i see with this is that this also does slightly promote the "fastest finger" idea, but not dramatically.

You do have the option not to join the list. You dont have to get in line. So, if you dont want a team, dont sign up. If you change your mind later, then you can step inline where it ends.

You can also be picky, and select your top 3 regions, and "wait" for the one to come too you. You aren't forced to pick something you dont want. You wont lose your spot, just be skipped. Sounds great to me.

will the GM have to pay for it?

Sounds fine except I would give out all the new teams pretty quick to let the new owner develop their rosters for the season. If you make the owner wait until half way through, the final record would not be a very good reflection of how well the owner did. I know plenty of owners that would be competitive and want to start their team right away to mold it the way they want to.

All signs point to yes.....

Even though these rules would have meant that I wouldn't have gotten my team if they had been in place back then, I'm still for this.
This is a much better system when you think about it.
