so when people found out how to get more training points than allotted to them, that was ok?

Or SPs?

Those were exploits so I guess those were ok too?

99% of people didn't know about the training points bug. Everyone knows about the slam. Big difference.

no it's not. an exploit is an exploit regardless of who knows about it.

what kind of logic is yours?

My logic that their is a big difference between blatant cheating and using an "exploit" that everyone knows about. The slam is part of the game. It may be overpowered but its part of the game none the less.

It's like if we were playing a first person shooter and you complained because someone used a rocket launcher instead of a pistol.

well, that explains it. your ability to form an analogous situation is terrible, which would correlate to your inability to form good logical coherence.

For starters, the rocket launcher usually makes players slower in moving around as well as longer to re-load and other negative effects, so there is a cost vs benefit measurement going on.

You know what it's more analogous to? spawn killing. it's an exploit everyone knows and yet it's looked down upon.

you say one is blatant cheating and the other isn't, yet you give no real reason why you categorize them differently. They're both exploits.

So in your world spawn killing is the same as hacking the game and making your guy have 5 times as much health as everyone else?

no one hacked anything. Do you know what hacking is?

They exploited a bug. Spawn killing is also exploiting a bug. They are logistically the same.

you only want to pretend they are not for the sake of your argument. hell, I don't even know why you're defending it when you didn't use it.

I talk with those words IRL, too.

even when I'm drunk. Maybe moreso.

to be totally honest I just felt like arguing with some of you Great's dudes. I also happen to agree that using the slam every play is not very sportsmanlike. I just found it funny how shocked you guys were when someone used it. Did you really think no one would use it in the playoffs?

honestly, i was afraid someone might do it, but I held out in believing no one would do it in this league because of how it went down this season.

Either way, I wasn't going to do it. I don't want to win via an stupid exploit and I would leave the greats if we did do it. I take no pleasure in winning that way.

I worked my butt off scouting this season and it feels cheap to go out that way. I have no feelings of ill towards PDS and like I said, I wished them luck in Pro. But i won't conceal the fact that I thought that type of move was lame and classless.

At least just say "yeah, we do it. oh well," instead of trying to justify it as a legitimate tactic.

the only thing that's really been irritating me in the forum are people saying stuff like I said other teams were crappy or can't beat us any other way or other players suck.

i don't like being accused of insulting other people when i haven't done it.

I agree. It's just fun watching all of the Greats' panties get all bunched up.

I agree with RobertRJS. Even when my team lost to his team and there was a ton of smack talk--RobertRJS was never insulting. A good guy in my book!

personally i'm glad the greats lost. that means they will be here next year with us which will make the forums exciting again. bummer that you guys lost but it'll most likely make next season more enjoyable for me. thanks for taking me into consideration.

Pygmy held the Greats to under 20 points twice this year, no other team did it once. For whatever reason our D matches up well with them. I am sure we will have our hands full with the next team we face.
