Ahh man there's no crying in football. I never called DD pussies last year and I won't call SLS pussies this year. But if a team wants to throw 100% of the time against you like Zambia did to us in their win, more power to them. We should have been ready for that. The Dream ran Strong I on us about 40 out of 57 times today. We didn't stop em all but we stopped it enough to hold them to 3 points. If The Rhinos want to do it next week, knock yourself out. If they beat us doing it good for them.

Basically this. Para knows about my postings this morning on the WEPL forums. This kind of tactic really is bullshit, but sadly is the way the sim has gone this season. Teams have to pull this crap to compete and it is sad.

Remember that? Outlawz called TUC everything but a red-headed step-child for doing the Strong I exploit in a REGULAR SEASON GAME. Looks like Outlawz showed his true colors today. Pretty disappointed to see him do that actually.

Someone said that winning that way would feel better than losing that way. I disagree. Now that I speak from experience, I'd much rather have lost a game like that, than won a game like that.


You ran the ball 47 times. 8 of those 47 runs were out of the I formation. Take a guess what the other 39 were out of?? You guys used the same exploit.

The reason you lost is because you had to settle for FGs instead of TDs when you got in scoring position. Also because your kick coverage was terrible and you got unlucky with one turnover.

I can understand your frustration but the Strong I is not the only reason you lost.

First of all no disrespect to SLS because I really respect your organization and it's agents all the way back to Tsavo. Believe me I can understand why you are pissed. Getting a play run on you 80+ times is always going to sting. But in my opinion you gotta turn your anger away from Ghana and turn it towards Bort.

This has been an issue for a LONG time now. People say it was just a problem this year....thats not 100% right. Sure strong I is a problem this year. But before that it was off tackle. The fact that you can run one play 100 times and have the defense never learn it, is something thats been around since the day they introduced advanced AI.

When you take into account that Ghana was a #7 seed going up against a powerhouse of a #2 seed you have to realize they are going to have to pull out all the stops to pick up the victory. So as much as it stings right now you can't really blame them. Who you can blame is the guy who can fix this problem and has ignored it season after season now in order to install fame (which I still don't know why it matters?) and dot colors.

Oh, I totally agree Chugga. In my first post, I actually said I can't blame them for doing it. I think what most of our guys are pissed about are the excuses coming out of the Buffaloes camp. At least admit it and own up to what you did. I would at least respect that.

After reviewing our last game against SLS, I talked with Doc_Nilla about it and said "I am sure people will call this cheesy, but I think this is their weakness." So I am not trying to say that I didn't think we'd hear some griping about it, but I am saying that when it comes to the playoffs, we're not going to hamstring ourselves by avoiding whatever it is that people consider to be the flavor-of-the-month exploit. Especially not when we're a middle tier team playing against the best in the league. If that makes people hate us, I'm sorry we can't be friends, but I'm okay living with it.

Exactly. The major problem most of us have is: if you're going to run a 100% exploit-based offense, don't front like you have some kind of superior gameplanning skills once it's all said & done.
