Thanks for the props guys, we are pretty stoked about it. Maybe the APL will start to get some respect. I think people are starting to wake up to the fact that we aren't a bunch of scrubs anymore.

It would also be nice if the jackballs in the Elephant would stop shoving the Lion conference under the bus. The attitude that most of GLB has towards the APL that you guys complain about is the same friggin attitude you guys have towards the Lion conference. The Elephant had three teams in the GWT and the Lion had one. No elephant team made into the top 16, whereas the Lion team made it into the top 8.

Is the Elephant the better conference? Sure, but the Lion isn't chopped liver. Instead of thrown the Lion under the bus, how about we try to garner a little respect for this great LEAGUE, not conference, but LEAGUE!!!!!

Majech, if you'll notice I have mentioned Lion (specifically Botswana), and APL as a whole. But as I stated in those posts, our problem as a League is not whether we are any good or not, it's about getting others to notice us. Like it or not, games played in APL aren't going to mean shit. Teams HAVE to scrimmage other PRO level teams outside of APL for us to get any kind of recognition. Something I give credit to Botswana for. Something TLGoT, LOL, and DD also do. Can you tell me who else in Lion schedules PRO level scrims? And I'm not talking about 1 damn scrimmage game against SAPL for our challenge. If not, then all of your "we want respect in Lion" is falling on deaf ears (talking about the rest of GLB). I'd love to see some of the other Elephant teams schedule more scrims too (yeah, I'm talking to you SLS ) as well as the other top Lion teams. Until that happens, you won't get any credit for being in a competitive conference, no matter who you beat (again, to those outside APL)

I agree. It is all about creating a persona, attitude, and scrimmaging other leagues.

We have to make others take notice of us and stir things up and just playing our normal games isn't going to do that.

Yeah, pisses me off too, lol. Losing to those scrub teams like War Kings and Rhinos are killing us Dammit guys, go beat up on someone else for a change. We never really scrim'ed much in the past either. We did a few last season, remember we kicked the hell out of DD, and we've done quite a few this season due to being in the GWT. It has actually been a lot of fun.

Maybe when we avenge our loss to TLGoT in the S8 championship Lion will start to get some love.

I agree. I've been trying to really promote APL in the rankings committee. Your buddy JoeyBarber whined that I voted for Bots, but no one else will vote for us. Hell, we've beaten 2 of the top 15 teams on the list and are in the final 8 in the GWT. It's not about Bots to me though, it's about the league. The more teams from APL that get votes, the more those teams are posted, the more we are in the minds of voter, and the more respect we get. After Joey whined, quite a ruckus blew up about the APL so I'm thinking my madness is starting to work. About an hour later we beat the Barracuda, I thought that was a nice touch Unless some bad things happen, I'm thinking we'll have at least 2 teams in the top 25 next week...and just think if it is a LION team.....
