That's because USA Pro = SEC. They load up the interconference schedule against Division III teams and navel gaze their way into the top of the rankings. Personally, I think that the fact that the USA Pro teams (new guys excluded) are reluctant to scrimmage against other Pro teams says that they're not all they're cracked up to be. If they want to prove otherwise, they need to do it on the field.

Bang.

The OPL losses say more than the wins, IMO.

If you take a look at the losses, other than the TiT's recent beat down at the hands of the Evil Monkeys, are any of them top 5 OPL teams?

Tit's? Top 5.
Crushers? Good team, but just arrived and not top 5.
Bandits? Not even close to top 5.
Strike? Same.
Kava Sharks? You could make an argument for them at #5, definitely a top 10 team, but likely not top 5.
Gods? Not top 5.
Crimson Auha? Not even close.

Until the good teams from USA PRO get off their collective asses and scrim some of the best from around the other leagues (and yes, some of them are doing this, but some have zero interest), this data is all we have to go on.

I have no grounds upon which to criticize OPro

A Pro win is a Pro win. We looked pretty even on paper. Good thing scouting reports don't decide the outcomes of games.

Very nicely done!

Our game against the vaqueros probably shouldn't count. I have a player on that team and set the scrimm up because I wanted to see all the singleback and shotgun plays against a live defense. If watch the game you will see that we ran singleback in the 1st and 3rd quarters, shotgun in the 2nd, and shotgun 5 in the 4th. For the most part we use our scrimms as experiments unless it is for a specific tournement like our upcoming games against Rio and Bangkok. Those games we will play to win.

You can do the same for the USA Pro losses. No top teams lost there, either.

I think most of the top teams (MEM excluded) concentrate most of their efforts on the regular season/playoffs and not on scrimmages due to limited time.

I think the leagues are comparable at the top, but there is no contest top to bottom, USA Pro is better.

imma -- I was responding to your comment about none of the losses being top 5 USA PRO teams. I was pointing out that the same can be said for Oceania, minus the TIT's game, so we're in agreement there.

However, until USA PRO steps up to the challenge and participates in at least 1 region vs. region PRO tournamnet, I for one am not prepared to crown them as "better, top to bottom".

USA Pro is too inactive to participate in all the tournaments--again, they mostly care about the regular season.

But I can say with 100% confidence that USA Pro Western conference was easily the toughest conference in GLB until San Antonio Saints and Golden State Athletics were sold back. Still probably is.

That's fine -- I'll say with 100% confidence that until they choose to step up, I won't hand them "toughest league in GLB" on a silver platter

Good win though!

We have a BIG one coming up in a couple of hours. They beat the team MM just beat as well ( The Shockers).

Ouch...that team is damn good. We're likely scrimming them soon as well, now that they have an open slot to challenge
