UPCOMING GAMES OF THE WEEK

Alpha Conference - Not much to choose from this week so I have to go with:
Maranello at Hattgenstein and Black Country at Messina - Basically the same game with probably the top 1-2 teams taking on top 5-6 teams.

Zeta Conference
London at Helsinki - The Crabs have never lost a regular season game to the Pounds, but they all seem to be close: (2 point win after a 4th quarter TD in season 5; 1 point win after a last second TD in season 4; 10 point win after outscoring the Pounds by 10 in the 4th quarter in season 3). I expect the same this week with another close game that the Crabs pull out in the end. Line: Crabs by 3.

You don't care about Mannheim . Thanks.

Mannheim has always been my favorite Zeta team...I'm just not sure they will be challenged all that much until Week 16. (Although the Crabs and Destruction are at this point clearly the best chances for there to be some challenge).

I would rather go to a Polk game!

Serious!

Who WOULDN'T have fun at Gary's Shoes Stadium at New Market Mall!??!? I know I would!

you can only get there if you drive a beat up dodge though...

ig, well done as always

Top work Ig and a bit of a war of attrition I would imagine at the moment. Especially considering the standard of opposition in Alpha. I think next season will be a bit more interesting as the Defiance will be the class of the division

Zeta is looking competitive for the top 4 and Alpha from 3rd to 8th will be interesting but the forums are dead Ig, we need Jay and and Trippy to really kick it off.

Helsinki scares me with the way they are playing right now.

It is dead here. It's almost like everyone is off in a private forum somewhere.

Depressingly dead.

I've started hanging around a bit more, even though I've only got a second-string OT on a 3rd place team.

UPCOMING GAMES OF THE WEEK

Alpha Conference
Bisquick Bunnies at Maranello - Anyone have any questions about who will come out victorious in the Volunteers/Revolution, Knights/Park Bruins, Defiance/Car-Bombers, Aces/Vikings, MC Airs/Rattlesnakes, Blazers/Charvers or Defenders/Tigers games? I'd say no, so this is the game of the week, by default. Will it be close? Probably not, but who knows, the Bunnies did beat Davenport by a more significant margin (although the Enzos played Belfast and London much closer). Line: Enzos by 36.

Zeta Conference
London at Portuguese - A little easier game to pick here as most of Zeta should be lopsided affairs. The teams currently have the 6 and 7 seeds in the playoff picture, and basically have beat the same teams and lost to the same teams...with the exception of the Pounds loss to Helsinki, although the Men-of-War get that matchup next week. I hope the Pounds can make a better showing as they made me look foolish for picking them to be within 3 points of the Crabs. Lightning (and I'm not talking about Tilburg) may strike twice, but I'll pick the Pounds in this one. Line: London by 7.

Interesting. By those rankings, Alpha has the strongest single team, but Zeta is a slightly harder division to play in overall.

It is a little quiet I admit, Jay has been suspiciously absent and the rest are just in the private forum, which Jay should open up to all really. Nice to see a new face on the boards. Are those ranking right Ig? If so we have a fight on against the Defiance.

I was putting together the past and present tournament. That mixed with school and work doesn't equal much time.

Aces have been around the top 5-6 teams but can't just win that 1st game in the playoffs and break the hump =/
