Very close to how I would have it. Only difference is I would have some of the new teams a bit higher...my top 5 would be

1.) MM, Can't argue with this one until someone takes it from them..
2.) Tonga/WS This is a coin toss. Always an interesting matchup.
4.) Nites Actually can beat anyone in league on any given day.
5.) Heat Will contend for Zeta crown, dangerous club.

Rounding top 10

6.) SoCal
7.) Sharks
8.) Samoa
9.) Bomb Squad
10.)Ic

I commend you for doing what is nearly impossible like I did. I'm glad I have something to compare my list to now. Your list is much more politically correct so I wouldn't mind it being the "official Rankings" now or whatever, I'm just glad I sparked such a large heated conversation.

The rankings that have most street cred are the coaches poll rankings.

and honestly in the end, they are all for fun anyway. The cream always rises to the top at the end of season.

also...

Any list that doesnt have Mean Machine #1 preseason loses all credibility. Like I always feel, you have to beat the Champ to become the champ.

Yeah, we were 0-2 in the preseason last year. We dont take them seriously WIN wise. We take them seriously experimentation wise. Preseason tells nothing of who a team is. People play close to the vest and experiment a lot. It is your only way to test the new AI features.

Good luck.....I personally think Jersey will surprise a lot of people up here. Your team wont be flying under the radar....that is for sure.

thx. i was just making sure i wouldn't catch any heat if i was to lose our first game in preseason lol. cuz then i would try lil harder and take lil more serious. i just wanna break the seal here and get a good ai ready. at least that's my intentions. and must pardon me i'm not used to the hospitality ya'll have shown. glad to be in place all good teams and owners. good luck again today everyone. gotta get ready for college football and the fight tonite

Preseason is for trying new things out, wins/losses don't really matter.

Especially considering the hot and heavy recruiting MTD did in the off season. I honestly feel they could be the #1 team this season.

I'm gonna do a TINY analysis of two teams here

#22 Tongan Crimson Auha vrs. #16 Wagga Wagga Fighting Squirels
Tongan has a 51 overall and Wagga Wagga has a 48 overall
Tongan has 45 players, 38 level 30 or above, 22 level 35 or above and only 1 inactive
Wagga Wagga has 49 players, 37 level 30 or above, 8 level 35 or above and 11 inactive
Wagga Wagga's skill position players have a combined 1 award, while Tongan's have 11 all from Oceania Pro including one of last season's leading TD recievers.
I know you all could easily give many valid reasons why all that is meaningless. You can save those arguments for another time. I respectfully disagree and luckily we're going to find out after the first game of the season.

No, I will not save my arguments.

#1 . . . level are less important than builds at these high levels. Its a decent indicator, for sure, especially at lower levels, but the difference between a 36 and a 33 at this point is considerably less.

#2 . . . judging inactive population after a 10-15 day off season for many teams is skewed to say the least.

#3 . . . awards are for individuals. For instance, my team Tonga is based around a team concept with high rotations. We ran for over 4,000 yards last season, but didn't have a back in the top 3. We use a platoon QB system, so neither ends up with a ton of stats, but we'll throw for 3,500 yards and 30+ TD's for sure. Because our defense gets off the field with 3 and outs a lot, we don't get a lot of individual tackles, but our defense is among the league leaders.

Those are valid reasons. We'll see if they hold true after week 1 won't we?

I agree and disagree with the bold. I have not paid much attention to off season player movements but if MM was inactive in bringing in new players and a team like WSI brought in loads of higher talent I could understand forecasting them to be #1 as this is a new season (now to not have MM in the top 2-3 would be insane).
