lol - yeah i heard of this too - wouldnt surprise me if we see some team going bankrupt before the season is over.

The new batch of teams was way too big and lead to a big gap between players avaiable and teams to sign on ... player could demand what they want and there was always an idiot around to give him the money.

I had one guy - level 1 - whom i offered a 400$ / day and 1500$ upfront ... he responed by telling me that the highest bid was 30k / season and 20k upfront ...
I was thinking hard about to tell him to shove his demands up his ... you know where ...

If he were a Level 6 or higher making demands I would have respected that but a level 1 player of an user who has only 1 player and just signed on ???? WTF ?????
this aint disneyland - and even there dreams are not becoming reality

total different look for the Tigers

Starting Qb(who i thought had a weird build, not very efficient for a level 9 player) wanted to be released so he could find a team where he would be the OC and starter. i obliged, it hurts team, but think backup might actually be a better build, well see.

also cut 2 of my own players to allow level 1 players some pt. cut a level 4 and level 1 guard. no biggie. had outstanding offers out, forgot to delete them. oh well. now i cant get people to not accept!!!!!

New Look Tigers await Porto!

well i started mid pre season and waited a couple of days for the new season to kick in. i looked around the leagues and forums and i posted an ad up for a team. the next thing i know i get 1 offer from Indy Clark of the London "undefeated" Minotaurs (shameless plug ahahha) and my boy developed from level 1 corner to a level 9 in the last few games. i got more and more play time and now i am the nickel corner with the odd start. not bad for a new guy in one season. i signed for the minimum expecting nothing and was able to get my contract redone at level 8 to get my new equipmnent. i also made/rolled/created a tackle who is also now up to level 6 and slowly learning the ropes.

I find it real hard to understand how anyone can value money in this game. its not like you need it unless u own a team. you cant spend it on anything but your equipment which at the end of the day you only need to buy like 2x jesus i would play for the level 1 minimum if i had to at level 10+ if i thought i could contribute to a winning team and get some nice highlight reels and a bit of banter on the forums between games.

this game should be about fun and some trash talk occassionally but ultimately fun. not about grabbing as much money as possible so you can be the richest player in history. i would rather have a dude in the hall of fame for his play than his bank balance.

Honestly, i wish i could of let all my guys start at level 1 and work themselves up, then boost them after season, etc. But the league had many teams with level 8+ players, and didnt want to see 100-0 games. All of the players who i signed were level 1 players who are leveling up nicely, would of saved me Mucho deniro if i would of been able to do the same.

getting beat 60-0 isn;t fun. i seen a team who tried to start from beginning, sign, improve team without building, and they are getting beat by 60++ a game. one game they gave up 130. That aint fun. Wouldnt be fun beating teams like that.

They should of put all the new teams/owners in bottom leagues. so everyone had same chance to improve game by game. leveling off game by game

good game, hopefully well see you guys in the playoffs after one of us knocks off the panthers!

This isn't the case with everyone. Our team we either made in the off-season or in the first days of this season and there haven't been any 100-0 games. We all started at level 1 together and have been developing together since. We'll probably even just make playoffs the way we're going. Yeah, we get beaten by good sides like yourselves or Manchester but the games have generally been close.

We get a lot of heart from keeping Hamburg to only 4 FGs and no TDs and other such accomplishments but we are going to do this thing our way, from level 1, a group of friends together and try to make our way up the divisions like that. It's been a lot of fun.

Cork City Wildcats.

3-8 after today and no easy outs the rest of the way.

My team's not that bad, it's just that in most cases, we're over-matched at the line of scrimmage.

I can certainly identify with a lot of the frustration many of you are feeling.
It took forever to get human players on my squad. At one point I bought a bunch of level 7 and 8 CPU's just so that I wouldn't get beaten 99-0.
As I told my team, I'm all for building, but I'm still a competitive jerk who hates to lose.

Anyway, good luck to the rest of "Tomorrow's Champions."

It's no wonder that you're only 3-8: you're from cork! Visa problems getting out of the PRC?

Check out the screen name on our team's owner and I think you'll understand!

We got up to 4-8. Our team finally won an upset. We've outscored our opponents thanks to a 73-0 win and we've come a long way. I'm ready for next year.
