I find it interesting that we beat two of the teams ahead of us last year.

Our passing game sucked against better teams last year, between the addition of Hestter and some fixes to Richardson's build I'm fairly confident that won't be as big an issue.

Who knows though, it's a totally different collection of teams so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

You guys could easily be a #1 seed. I think anyone in the top 6 is interchangable, and then you have a group in the next 3-4 that should battle for the final 2 playoff spots.

Well, since no one tried to do the west, I'll give it a shot. We played in BBB#2 and A#1 Western conference, so we have played a little over 2/3 of the teams. With that knowledge base, this is how I think it will play out:

1. Austin Longhorns (Hard to find a weakness, and they put together a game plan that slaughtered the Spartans and played the Thunder as close as any team in A#1 that lost to them.)
2. OTR (Everyone loves to hate this team from what I've seen, but I can assure you they are tough. They will not back down from a challenge, and that is a good thing in this league.)
3. Little Haiti (I just couldn't talk myself into dropping them any lower. Very good team with upper level game planning.)
4. Las Vegas Heat (One of the best defense in BBB#2 for several seasons now, the Heat will bring absolutely stellar game planning on that side of the ball to this league. They slip a bit due to the fact that the new OAI is so far ahead of what defenses have to combat it with.)
5. OKC Spartans (I'm unsure where the Spartans fit, but I can't see them slipping past #5. They have the talent, but they have some slip ups in game planning from time to time that leaves you scratching your head. If they can get more consistency in their game planning, no ranking is out of their reach.)
6. South Otto (They gave OTR all they wanted during the regular season and stormed through everyone else in BBB#1. I think that level and depth will catch up to them in this deep of a league.)
7. Houston Gamblers (They have just enough talent to be capable of taking down anyone at any time. The Gamblers may not WOW anyone, but these guys know how to game plan. I hate having them this low, but that's just a sign of the new world order with the reorg.)
8. Humpers (I'm going to give NBGTTH the nod here. They have been a top team in BBB#2 since it's inception. I'm not sure where their depth has went, but I think there's still enough on the team to get it done.)
9. Omaha Mavericks
10. Allen Zephyrs
11. USA Eagles
12. Riders
13. Omaha Beef
14. Bay Area
15. The Militia
16. Steel City

Fire away. That's my best guess.

The Kittens are in the west now, but if you have the Humpers as #8 we will be hard pressed to get a playoff spot.

Little Haiti Voodoo is also leaving. They are apparantly going to Oceania AAA. They are going to be replaced by at least a decent team.

Looks like all bets are off for a little while until we can figure out who is where. Maybe I'll have another boring night and do these again when this "last" wave of promotions is done. Also, the Humpers lost a lot of depth from when I remember them. That severely affected their ranking.

Jesus, that's a lot of defections all of the sudden. Now I definitely expect it to come down to us, Austin and Las Vegas with Houston and the Humpers possibly being a factor too.

I was clearly talking about the west. In the east it looks like it'll be Eleven Wise, Seattle, Oregon and New York in no particular order to me. Eleven Wise stomped the BBB when they were there, and New York and Seattle both ran the table last season. Oregon is more based on them being 12-4 in a tough USA A last year.

EWM will be battling for the #8 slot. We are actually taking a different approach this year. The regular season is basically a primer for us to try some things out. We dont care what seed we are going into the playoffs this year. To us the #8 is the same as the #1 - the only reason to care in the past was the cash you got from the playoffs, but when your stadium is built to capacity....

So what am I rambling about? Well, we will spend the first 16 weeks of the season trying to find an identity, hopefully we find it by the first round of the playoffs

Here is my West to make playoffs. These are not in order of rankings.

1. Las Vagas Heat
2. North By Gawd Texas......too damn long of a name
3. Oklahoma Bears
4. Houston Gamblers
5. OK City Spartans
6. Austin Longhorns
7. Allen Zephyrs
8. Omaha Mavericks

Bay Area Bastards are my upset pick to make it.
Austin Longhorns is my pick to win the west and move to AA.

Las Vegas, OKC, Austin, Pontiac, Oklahoma, & Houston in the top 6.

No idea what the order of those teams are tho.

OKC scouts very well and plays solid situational football. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top 3.

Although I'd like to believe you are correct, I wouldn't put us in the top 8 right now unless my OAI genius shines through with these new settings.
