RT, I will say this, Baseball died for me a long time ago.

If you are a fan you will appreciate this:

This team was arguably the best team in baseball from 76-85 with 6 division titles, 2 pennants and 1 world series title.

Name that team.

Also-this is why baseball is dead to me.

They're not the Phillies (they only got 5 division titles), so they obviously suck.

Nah but srsly. Royals.

Ah still hate the phils. LOL, got us in 80, but it was sweet to be at all the home games to see the Royals beat the F'in Cards. Hey I can say I saw a championship in KC, not many can say that. LOL.

Yeah. Generally speaking, I have a great respect for anyone who stays loyal to a team in a wake of near-constant futility.

Unless they like the Lions. In which case. Hahahahahahahahahahaha your team is terrible.

I don't know, maybe it's the glare from his super bowl ring that is blinding your vision.

Nope, hey he is a great Fantasy Football WR, got me a championship too, but will never forget that spike. Hilarious.

He's not having to good of a season this year, but I expect him to pick his numbers up.

Hey RT, when you become a Phillies fan? After they got up in the series? Hmm sounds familiar. Prob was a NE football fan, but when they lost the SB, he got online and had a Giants hat overnited, so that he could say he knew it all along.

THAT is why you quit. Couldnt take it. Why not stick it out? Oh well

Weird, because I haven't been a Phillies fan for as long as I've liked sports (~5 or so years), and I haven't lived in the general area of Philly my whole life.

You're a miserable, miserable troll.

Whatever, just kinda funny that all of a sudden it gets changed to the Phillies. That is all. Hey I dont want to keep you up past your bedtime, you prob have algebra or something tomorrow.

Actually, on another forum he's been sporting either a Packers avatar or the Phillies avatar for quite awhile (since September it appears, before the Phillies had the division wrapped up [I remember because he got shit from other members about how the Mets would win, etc]). I always thought he lost a sig bet (a bet where the loser has to sport the winner's choice of a sig for x amount of time)... I guess I learn something every day.

Now to RTJ - What the fuck, you like the Phillies? Why the hell would you like any team repping Philly, man? Tell me you don't like the Eagles.

Why can't Hokie pokie answer this post above...What is your response being the only team in the top 100 from APL....The great competitive league...LMAO

See it's kind of like lets say ESPN listed the top 100 college teams....And out of the top 100 there was 1 team that was listed from the IVY Conference....And this IVY League team was the only team ever to win the Ivy League Conference...Then this IVY league teams Coach goes on to say what a competitive conference the IVY league is....He would be laughed off of the air.
Vegas

He is a better owner than you, he recruits better than you. other teams were in the playoffs, they stood a chance at winning. You are not competitive cause, you are watching the games wishing you had a better team. I offered to help you recruit, but you just complained. So once again, your fault you can't compete

So now the Borg is bringing in new guys who are flat out liars....That will help the family....littleman, you have never asked to help me recruit....Oh I will say all the current Borg members at least are not liars...i really don't like the new type of bacon you are bringing in to the barnyard Hokie.....might give the APL, some food posioning.

Nah. A lot of my teams of choice come from odd circumstance. When it comes to hockey, when I was first getting into it, I was talking alot with other Canucks fans on this forum, so the Canucks caught my interests more than any other fan.

In terms of the Packers, when I was like 7, my parents bought me one of those big, ugly Starter jackets for GB. They bought my sister a Vikings one. I'm not really sure what the basis for either of those choices were. Anyways, a few years ago when I was catching on to liking football, I'll always remember that jacket, I guess. When it comes to the Eagles, I like them enough that I want them to do well, but I wouldn't say I'm a fan.

And with baseball, I guess my influence with that is just where I live, since like everyone is a Phillies fan and the games are so accessible. That, and Cole Hamels is a God.

Also RTJ's choices of sports teams are strange but to his credit he never "grew up" being a fan of a certain team (right?) so he just made some terrible decisions (*Packers*) when he got older. Or maybe I am off-base here but from what he has posted that's how I take it.

I am just a Minnesota homer through and through... nothing really special about how I picked the teams I like, though like most people I'll like "up-and-coming" teams or certain teams because of players that I like, or even color/logo gay love. Etc.

Edit: I'll admit that I paid almost no attention to the Twins in the mid-nineties when they were awful and getting 5,000 fans a night in the Dome. I am a big Wolves fan though so I have been suffering through a lot of shitty basketball for the last 3-4 years or so.

Yeah, I never really grew up with sports. My parents got divorced when I was young, and I never really saw my dad, and he was like the only person in my family who cares about sports. I know he likes the Browns. Uh. Short of that, I have no idea. Maybe the Orioles.

Let's keep this thread on track....Like I said weeks ago, and Hokie Pokie said I was wrong....The APL will not be considered competitive until they lose in the playoffs.....Now lets see who is right or wrong...Vegas...Or Hokie.....I will respond tomorrow...Good Night APL, and of course the Borg Barnyard Bandits

I'm glad you are the one who decides if a league is competitive. From looking at your team it's you who are not competitive (everyone else can keep up, why can't you?). Cry all you want I have no tissues for you. I'll be bringing my player over, come season 7. If you want I'll help you recruit so you wont get regulated next season. Hell, I'll even help you get some CB's to help cover me.

I don't understand why you hate hokie so much, did you try to date him and he turned you down? You do sound like your a spurned lover. listen, just get over it there are plenty of fish in the sea. I'm sure you can find another bi-polar that lives in a fantasy world where they think that someone else is the cause of all there failures... just like you.

And what the hell is a borg? sorry if it's some kind of geek test, but I've never heard of it.

Details, you need to pay attention to details. I hope your not in charge of game planning.

Sorry, I don't feel like going into FA, I don't want to go through the PM's and research to find out if the owner is a whinny little moron. I also like to keep my build to myself and don't feel like showing everyone. So why not go to a team where I know the owner, I know how he runs the team and know how the offense is run. If you can't understand that, maybe you should get out more and socialize, meet some friends (the ones in your head don't count).

Wow, you are very resolute in your decisions and must be impossible to persuade.

You like the:
-Canucks because you talked to Canucks fans
-Packers because your mother bought you the jersey
-Phillies because other people do

Edit: Afk, mailing you a terrible towel.

It's not really THAT simple.
