I still don't understand how acquiring talent to improve your team is a negative? Football at all levels after middle school is about keeping up with the Jones' or surpassing them talent wise. This is why the USCs OU/UT and Floridas are always fighting for championships while the TCU/ Utah/ Hawaii/ Clemsons etc. are fighting for bowl games.
This is why Dallas just got Roy Williams. It is an arms race.
Yes Utah may have great coaches that could out scheme FSU, that is why the Urban Meyer winds up coaching at FL.
Sticking with your guys is very commendable, but someone else getting some fresh, talented blood in is not a negative.
Think about what you just said, are you condoning people ruining the integrity of a highly competitive league by simply loading up on the highest level available players instead of playing the game the way it was meant to be played with the game planning and tactics? If you wanna be an arrogant jackass and if you wanna begin playing this game by simply loading up on the highest levelled players, please feel free to go to the pro leagues and get your ass kicked around like a rag doll. We had what promised to be a really competitive league this season with no clear cut winner until Homer pulled a total 180, put on this cocky attitude, and loaded up. So please feel free to hurry up and get your promotion so you can leave behind those of us who want to game plan to win while remaining humble. Notice Tripoli, UN, MaRAWK, E'ci, Iowa..wow, pretty much every competitive team BUT BBE..winning by game planning. It's a pretty big stretch for Homer to say he's truly winning games by game planning..I'd REALLY question that.
It'll be a sad future for GLB if the outcome of leagues are simply decided by who has the highest level upgrades in the offseason, and this is why Bort is trying to do his best to realign things, so Homer can take his team to the pros eventually and get kicked around, then we'll see how great he truly is.
