Concrete, indoor has NO give, and even with insoles you need a sole with some give in it, and some flex in the toe/arch area. Try a pair of Military styled jungle/desert boots with a wedge sole, you'll think you died and went to heaven.

Are they crap ?

They seem to hold up pretty well, many of them go to crap when exposed to crap/oil/fuel but the ones that I have had the most luck with have been Red Wings and Danners.

Red wings I had fell apart after 6 months of work
Danners were absolute dog shit in my experience. I went through 3 pairs in less than a year. '

granted my job is probably harder on boots than most

Alot of people I work with are switching over to these type of boots.

Very comfortable from what everyone says, still to me doesnt even seem like a real boot.

Drawback is they dont hold up in the heat/keep your feet cool if you are in ash and fire. Which for majority of people really isnt an issue.

Back when I was doing a lot of road marching and patrolling, I found my feet better off wearing a thin light pair of socks (think panty hose) and a pair of wool socks.
Dust some foot powder on (not a lot), put on the thin socks, then the wool socks. Dust a little more foot powder in the boots, then lace em up and hit the dirt.
The most important thing, of course, is well fitted boots. Those matter.

if I'm doing some heavy hiking or hunting all day, I go with a polypropylene liner with a thick wool outside.
and $200 boots. that helps.

my goto hunting is a 10" in case I have to cross a stream, gore-tex thinsulate:

both types are extremely comfortable for all day wear. the cresta hikers also have a lot of good ankle and arch support for working elevations

So I got my galaxy s6 today and I have to say I'm not that impressed. It feels very well made...but two things are really bothering me. Firstly, the bottom touch buttons are too sensitive and it likes to go into convulsions when I'm trying to type and the base of my finger bumps it.

Secondly, holy shit I think they may have found the slipperiest material on the face of the earth. It fucking slides off flat tables. The only way I've found to keep it from falling to the lowest point in the general area is keeping the box it came in and sitting it inside of it. It's the most ridiculous thing I've seen in awhile...like, if they don't make space ships out of this they should. I think it may actually be from a far away planet, and it intrinsically repels all earth elements.

You will need an Otter box or something similar. Like the Note 4, both are almost too slippery to even hold while typing or calling etc

...and I don't type anymore, I swype. For me it's way faster

What kind are they ? I typically avoid walking in ash and fire as a general rule.

Spigen makes a harder neoprene style case for the S6 for those not interested in a big case. The edge rides higher than the glass so you get all around protection for minor falls.

The material solves the grip issue.

I have a note 3 and the otter box has saved it so many times. I cannot recommend them enough to people. I'm pretty sure I'd break the floor before my phone.

Swyping is good for when you only have 1 hand free but I think I'm still a faster typer. Also is it just me or have you had to delete like 50 words from swype because it keeps picking obscure words when you meant to use a common one?
