You can always tell when I put a defense in, something funky always happens. Engage Eight should not have been called that many times, I thought it would only fire if you put numbers in both the Zone and the Blitz part

I was not expecting that many outside runs, not sure if that hurt us or helped us in the end though, also Engage Eight was not intended to fire that often or in many of those situations lol. On offense you looked weak up the middle in a few formations, but I was not expecting the Zero Edge Blitz, that's actually where we got our money.

When we scored a TD to go up 10 with a little over 2 minutes to go I was like "cool, I don't think they score 10 points in 2 minutes" then you guys got a touchdown in like 20 seconds lol

Actually that was my AI and playbook so it would have been my fault if we lost, how do you get a zone blitz to only fire when you want it to and use man blitzes all the other times. Defense still confounds me. We got lucky our defenders are good against the run, otherwise they would have put up 30+ with those pitches/sweeps

Engage 8 is unique because it is an Inside Run defense. The man blitzes you are wanting to be called are probably Short Pass/Run. So just put 100 in the short pass boxes for when you want the man blitzes and 100 in the inside run box when you want Engage 8. Assuming the only plays in your playbook are short blitz and Engage 8, then the blitz and zone settings don't matter.

Ah, so if you wanted to use Cover 3 Tiger in only a specific situation you would set it up 100 Long Pass Since it's only defined as Long, then make sure there are no other Long plays in playbook?

Exactly.

What AZ said below is true too.

Not positive, but I think you can also call Cover 3 Tiger another way besides that. If you have say, 100 in Medium and 100 in Zone, and the only two plays are Short Man Coverage and Cover 3 Tiger (Long Zone)

It'll go through the checklist and see that there are no Medium plays so it'll use the next best criteria, which is zone vs man.
