He'd be somewhere between 18 and 19.

You have posted all over thread about lev 16 after rookie season, I think alot of people are missing this. Anyway we can get a lev breakdown after each season with this included? Another big reason younger players should be getting 100% refund

I just know that with player building there are so many season where you boost at the beginning then basically level up only two other times in almost two months. I believe this new system will make the game a lot more enjoyable. Plateau doesn't even bother me that much because a higher turnover rate should keep more people engaged SO LONG AS management makes a sustained effort to put a system in place that provides competitive league play. Right now I would say this only exists about 50% of the time. We will never get it to 100% but it should be higher than it is. Probably even elite dot builders will not mind the turnover, especially since it will allow them to move on and build newer, improved dots based on the experiences from their last batches. I will say that I get bored more quickly than most so I may be projecting a little here.

this

Im sure these guys are crunching away though trying to get this figured out. I still like the idea

Edit: This kind of makes me nervous that he wouldnt show this originally as a LOT of people do this. Atleast the majority of people reading this thread. I really hope this wasnt meant to be snuck by us and found out later in S24

It's a great marketing move...but I personally dislike it.

I'd say its not even marketing so much as player retention, which is about customer satisfaction.

I spend two years making a dot. Turns out I got it wrong. Okay, so two years from now I can see how my next try is? Thats not a happy customer.

Frankly I think the year long one is still too long in that regard.

My big concern is it's still only 3 levels at the top of the game, dots need to stay WL/Pro ready for longer than 3 seasons to fix the competiveness in 8 pro leagues. I was hoping that this change would lengthen the dots career at the top to get more dots at the top end of the game.

Also while we have a pretty good idea of the implementation of this, nothing is set in stone. If some one can come up with a better way to do something, we'll definitely look it over and evaluate it.

1) In General, I like it. But...

2) I still think the game would benefit from a "Insert Coin, Beep Beep Beep, Splort" instant Day 440 Player creation system to skip the entire minor league hassle and boredom. Maybe allow SOME player growth from that point, but not the 10 Speed to 150 speed system we have now. Say a 10 pro season career, with slow growth over five, followed by a five year gradual decline. So you have a 15 year career for your beloved dot, but its all at the top of the game.

Have nothing but National Pro Leagues, with a WL Tourney in the offseason. Let people buy into the game as pro rookies and thats it.

3) Or alternatively, have a costly flex option for a "Insert Coin, Beep Beep Beep, Splort" instant Day 440 Player creation.

4) I like the added steps to Custom. But why not pair it with an increase in AEQ as well, adding more stuff per level of AEQ in similar fashion? Suggested it once, forget details but the more we get to tinker with the better IMO.

Player conversion:

Existing players will be converted to a new age equivalent. Whatever your age is in the current system will be compared to an equivalent age based on what estimated XP values between the two systems. For example, a 350 day old player in the old system would become a 205 day old player in the new system. A 120 day old player in the old system would become a 72 day old player in the new system.

Okay but what about guys that are already into plateau? Since guys who are Day 441 or older do not have experience gain they would all have the same reference point for your conversions?

Or are you going to add a season based on age above plateau? IE they would become season 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 for Day 440, 480, 520, 560, 600?

And if so, what happens to the existing decline in players aged 560-639?

best news i've heard from GLB......... ever!

i never thought GLB would ever revolutionise. waiting 2 years for a dot to mature was extremely dull and hsortening it to just over 13 months is a huge step in the right direction.

i'm truly excited

Also, something worth bringing up, if we are going to have this implemented for s24, we REALLY need the plan (with age conversions and new league caps) layed out by d20-25. Next season's rollover is way too late, as is day41. Most recruiting is done during the final 2 weeks of the season, and having no idea (a) if this will be implemented for s24, and (b) exactly how it will be implemented will cause a huge clusterfuck imo.
