I can't wait for money to be more about fun non-sim unlockables, bling, adding to your trophy case and other things like that rather than a very serious competitive advantage. If people can't compete on a level playing field and had to game to system to get a lot of cash to lure all the free agents and have constant lvl upgrades before, then you were never really that good in the first place. The difference in good and bad teams should be the builds, organization of individual tactics/builds/vas/sas and then the scouting and AI. Shouldn't be about dropping down with a lot of fash or who can skirt the new rules to funnel cash to their teams best. That's not a sidegame worth playing or worth keeping around. I'm glad it's getting tossed out altogether

In leagues where teams already have cash that did it before season 15 ;

So, so dumb. It amazes me how the people in charge can simultaneously pressure people to drop down to an appropriate level while also penalizing them for doing so. It's nonsense. Everyone who plays this game hates the idiotic stadium system, but Bort & Catch somehow think it's a good idea to force people to go through it over and over again.

So we will have a bunch of lower leveled teams in a higher level league. Ill keep my team fill it with level ones like the plan was to happen anyways, be in a level 18 league and get killed. I think it is unfair that I have worked for 4 seasons to build a stadiuma and still be competitive, and now I am punished. I did nothing against the former rules.

Jbleich, you are a moderator, try being one, not just throwing out your opinion on every thread. You make some very good points, but you don't have to be an ass about it.

I'm not always right, Im simply stating an opinion. I love playing this game, but the changes go into affect immediately and I simply feel had we known this day 1, we would have just kept our team as is and went from there, but they announced the new creation changes and we decided a rebuid in season 15 would give us the best route to being competitive, now we will simply be no further ahead than team owners who just started this site, even though we have put in the time and spent real dollars to play.

LOL, I told you I'd be on board w/ a total reset...it's just not going to happen and my point was the game will be fine.

The ones that drop down will be on a level playing field with all the other teams that drop down. How is that getting screwed? By the time they work their way up to where cash matters, if they do not have a full stadium and a war chest built up, they probably would have trouble anyway.

You fucked up in your design and approach and forced competitive teams such as mine to bail out so we could compete long term and now you are about to fuck us again by taking the cash we raised. I asked to be demoted as to not upset the league with a gutted team and now I am going to be penalized. If you would have had the insight to do this shit right the first time, and or correct the money glitch when it happened 12 fucking seasons ago, we would not be in our current state. If you want to institute such a hard lined rule, which could be a good thing BTW, then you need to grandfather the fucking thing not screw those who have already rebuilt their rosters.

I think that this announcement goes against what GLB and Bort has said in the past. When they said that the team with big bank accounts earned it and will keep it. When bort makes statements about his intentions he is speaking for GLB. The reality is the same goes for the other big wigs. It has always been stated that teams earned their money and their stadiums. Doing a 180 simply does not cut it. GLB as hole needs to be more consistent.

I think there is a middle ground.

I agree that a team with $40+ million in the cap 14 is too much as well as having a full stadium. It is a huge advantage long term and it harms growth in the game at the lowest levels.

I think that teams will full stadiums who are demoted by owner request should have their stadium's sections over the default deactivated. For example a level 14 team cannot sell tickets beyond level 100 sidelines and 1 corner section which is what a new owner will build before their first season if they are smart. As you move up in level your sections get re-opened. You get a benefit for long term ownership which is good for the game and for Bort. This will help to compensate for your loss of cash which IMHO still has to happen but not at the level catch22 is proposing.

Team cash will be reduced by 5% of their cash for every level they drop lower than AA. Dropping from the pros to the level 4 is 11 league drops. That will cost you 55% of your cash. The % number can be debated or a max number can be created for the level 4 and level 14 teams.

To me this would make a much more even playing field but at the same time encourage and penalize long term ownership.
