You don't see how this is retarded?

I thought he was trying to say vision sucked, and doesn't play a role like it should

I believe his point is that you need to fix pathing first. If incredibly high vision doesn't actually prevent someone from running into defenders, then obviously pathing is what needs to be addressed.

Vision is broke...because pathing is broke.

You said it is pointless to fix pathing because vision is broke.

All kinds of fallacies involved here.

Why should a fake-out be less of a morale killer than a monster hit?

Because one player plays more than the other? I don't really see the logic in that.

i guess im just thinking about blinking backs a few seasons back and how they blinked out a ton of defenders...the morale for the defense would be utterly shot to hell if the strength was equal...as compared to a monster hit/big hit 3/4 times in a game maybe...

Okay so I am clearly missing something here, care to expand instead of using emoticons?

What is a HB's chosen path based on?

But Elusive RBs don't do that anymore. It is pretty damn hard to blink anyone consistently right now.

A really terrible algorithm

Much like most pathing decisions.

TY, I guess was attributing bad pathing to vision not working instead of vice versa

Jdbolick, you have completely dodged my post and posted the same thing that doesn't address what I have been saying at all every time. Stop posting that same comment.

The mind-boggling thing is that I have addressed your post again and again, you just keep ignoring it because you don't like the answer.

Next question, shouldn't RBs with high agility and vision be able to cutback and make quick cuts incredibly well causing defenders to lose their balance or fall down?

THAT IS ALREADY WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CURRENT SIM. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO REPEAT THAT BEFORE IT SINKS IN? Seriously, what the fuck are you not understanding? When a punt returner is coming upfield and a defender is closing in, that returner sometimes takes an angle to cut back in the other direction. The defender then slows down or even stops to mirror that movement, the degree of speed lost depending upon the angle and the defender's agility.

Moreover, the ability to create space by changing directions IS NOT A FAKE. Please stop referring to it as a fake, BECAUSE IT IS NOT A FAKE. Faking is doing a specific move to cause the defender to pause in place. Making a cut is not executing a fake.

Next question, if a defender falls down did you not elude him successfully?

If it did we wouldn't have the threads I mentioned complaining about faked defenders making tackles.

Next question, why can power RBs run over guys with pure strength if you elusive guys can't force people to lose their balance with pure agility?

Because faking is a specific skill, and not all elusive backs attempt fakes. Elusive running means to elude defenders by moving away from them. Doing so at severe angles can cause the defender to slow down or stop if they have insufficient agility to mirror the movement, both in real life AND IN GLB.

Final question, how is labeling a RB an elusive RB not make him a faking RB when the Power RB is not labeled a Break Tackle RB and can still break tackles?

I don't know why you pretend that you have never watched football before, but let's use your beloved Gators as an example. Emmanuel Moody is an elusive-type running back, but he generally does not try to fake defenders. He tries to run away from them and use cuts to get downfield. Being elusive and using fakes ARE TWO SEPARATE THINGS.

Emmanuel Moody isn't an elusive RB, first of all. Second of all, making defenders slow down does not accomplish the goal to the same point. By them losing their balance, it makes it easier for the RB to run by them without being tackle, to run through their tackle and to generally elude them. It also allows them to have successful cutbacks vs. multiple defenders. If they fall down, the RB is generally going to be able to run by, if they slow down, it's much harder to and they don't suffer the penalties or morale loss that will probably be added in fairly soon. I don't know WHY you are against a player losing his balance when the offensive player makes a quick cut?

Also for the 100th time, we call any movement on HERE(GLB) where the defender shrinks, a fake, so we are not talking about REAL LIFE fakes, we are talking about GLB fakes. Can you not see the difference? If you want, I can just refer to it as a player losing his balance instead of being faked, I mean the same thing by that but if the wording is that important...fine. Now why can a player not lose his balance when an offensive player makes a quick cut or cutback? As I already explained, the loss to speed is not as powerful as him losing his balance and players in real life lose balance and/or fall down all the time when a player makes a quick cut or cutback. Is causing a defender to fall down or lose their balance(in GLB Term: Faking) not eluding them?

The less strength you have the more the big hit effects you. Obviously if your strength is very low you will get effected more than if you juke someone out.

ya...but this is working on making them effective...there really isnt a point if they arent going to be made effective...

It's really not. In fact, with +% fake chance AEQ, you're seeing a lot of guys have multiple fakes on one run to get into the endzone.

I don't have a problem with improving this.

But I really do believe that what I'm saying will help anyway. Although... it may help in the perimeter "beat this guy and I'm gone" scenario and hurt in the dodging people in traffic scenario.
