yeah, we have had 8 inches in the last 3 days, and they are expected 9-10 inches more by Saturday. flooding everywhere

Semi-related, local meteorologist said it has been 3628 days since a major hurricane of Cat 3, 4, or 5 has made US landfall. That was Wilma on October 24, 2005 Pretty remarkable.

Combine that with the fact that Katrina was 2005. Louisiana got Katrina and then one month later got Rita, another category 3.

So 2005 we had 3 of them.
