We do have really good Chilies. Not sure why they want to make a thing of it, I mean that's really all New Mexico has other than balloons once a year. Let them have it. We have the best goddamn cantaloupe in the world, and the best micro/craft brewing scene in the US.

Also our green chili is much better.

Also, colby jack + bacon quiche is where it's at in the breakfast arena. Also biscuits and gravy. Also.

I love biscuits and gravy, but I can't find a spot in NJ.

that's why I've loved them...and I can't believe I didn't immediately grasp on them being just like...well...every other fucking pepper...green to colored. ffs, seth, get it together.
I'll have to try some at various stages of green to red next summer and see what I can come up with.

Biscuits and gravy rule at 2 am as well on one of "those" nights.

And grits (with butter and just a little black pepper) are very under-rated.

Took forever to find a place in Portland...then they closed up to move to a new location.

Hell, in Ohio, even McDonalds has biscuits and gravy.

My morning staple:
https://8e9d5b8b8dcb9208ef3f-01db2a53ae0368d03387780ee86ead55.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/0071179491630_CF_hyvee_default_large.png

Must have:
Lawry's.
Franks Red hot.

Optional additions for deliciousness:
Diced Kielbasa.
More diced onion.
Diced peppers (dealer's choice)
Diced cabbage.
Crushed Garlic.
Diced Carrots.
Curry powder
Italian dressing (this is real close to must have, if I have it it's going on there)
smoked paprika.

I could, and do, dice up potatoes, green peppers and onion and make this on my own, it's not rocket science. It's just so damn convenient to warm a pan, dump that shit into it, toss on a few spices and slam a fried egg with cheese on top.

Oh, and that bag is a perfect starter kit for Brunswick stew. Toss a couple pounds of chopped smoked meat in a few cups of broth (any flavor). Add some apple cider vinegar and BBQ sauce, maybe a little chipotle tabasco, let that sit a little to get all steamy, then throw in a bag of this and let it simmer for an hour or 2.

As if there wasn't enough proof that Dr. Oz is a joke already, he's doing an episode on GMO labeling with the headliner "And the companies that are fighting to keep you from knowing what is in your food"
