Well that is football after all. But in a Salary Cap game, you do have to make other choices still.

And the moment you bring that much Speed to the edge, the Defense will counter. All the teams going S* SS & S* FS will just use those S* Tier 2 selections on CBs instead.

So instead of having a S* TE guarded by S* SS with S* INT LBs underneath, you'll have S* WR vs. S* CBs.

In the NFL, WRs & CBs are 1st Round Draft picks and TEs and Safeties are 2nd or 3rd Round picks - for the most part. And with WRs needing Speed and Awareness, you can say goodbye to the Strength/Confidence-type builds that generated CiT monsters. You can't have high caps in everything.

We had 54 seasons, at 53 days per season, of the old game. It's been 8 years. Now we've got something very different.

In the end, Bort and Cdog have made it clear that they are committed to have Zone being a viable alternative to Man. They want two systems. Just like they wanted Offensive to be Balanced and not pure Run or Pure Pass. They eventually tweaked everything to create the right incentives to run a Balanced O.

When you do a run from Rookie to Vet, you're thinking about a 9 season cycle. That's 9 changelog updates. That's 450 days or almost a year and a half.

If you're planning a team based on one changelog and not giving yourself any flexibility for future changes, particularly obvious ones, then you're lacking foresight.

It's digital entertainment people. If you don't like it, you can get your dopamine hit somewhere else.

For me, this opens up huge new opportunities where the next year or two have the chance to be completely different than the last 2-3 years.

That may seem like a lot but I agree with dlcurt. It's not. Belgarath had 69 Pass Power and his run was S6-S14.

LogZilla version 1 (Belgarath and Belgarion) was built on 12 yard completions 46% of the time. And he held the all-time passing record for 20 seasons until Denali showed up. Perhaps you're seeing something I'm not. I scrimmed you and you put up 41 points against me and then in your first game you scored 48 against a real team. I realize you're used to putting up 70+. Your Offense is putting up less points, but I wouldn't call it crippling.

Run 10 public scrims and look at ALL the data.

- Fixed a bug causing deep zone defenders to sometimes choose an invalid intercept point after the ball was thrown
- Fixed/reduced man coverage reaction chance to be more in line with the recently bug-fixed receiver reaction chance (it was sometimes also causing "instant" reaction time)

if man and rec awareness were bugged you guys may want to check and make sure zone/carry/return and blitz awareness are working correctly too

I see some mistakes by my players but I am in contention again ! Thanks glb staff ! I think cit monster will prevail and be viable alternative to speedy new wave. It is good that game is changin! I wanna see whats next. Mayby we will have offensive jaggernauts league ? That would be splendid!

About my game vs logzilla. I am weak against run and gimli just raped me. But Xars CBs lost the 1/1 battles and I won. Zone vs pass seems fixed. I still noticed that qb play get stronger as times go by. This is strange or not ?

Zone needs a SA for CB/S to swat passes like Man does (or something), as it stands Zone is weak vs deep passing and you can't get the deflection rate nearly as high as Man with its double pass deflection SAs:

Why would zone get the same deflection rate as Man where its typically 1v1?

Game balance. I'd like to see Swat Down become a universal CB SA as a quick fix. But TBH, I could accept any deep Zone SA if the Devs could come with something that helps with the weakness so it doesn't have to the same Man SA.

Currently Man's SAs will fire anywhere on the field and Zone's only fire with over the top help so they never fire in deep zones. With the new meta you have to run deep zones against these passes and in no form or fashion can Zone match Man's ability to defend deep balls. Any sound OC with a decent QB will just throw long all day and abuse Zone now. You can try and blitz them, but the slight bonus blitzing received doesn't appear to be enough to make up for this glaring weakness. It's just not game balanced at all.

So zone players would have EotP, Zone Shark, and...Swat Down? Zone teams have looked good since Bort's change this morning. Zone would be OP with Swat Down on all its defenders

I think his main point is that deep zone players have no pass defense SAs. All the zone SAs need over the top help.
