So is salary going to be automatically generated for each player? or will it be in a certain range taking all variables into consideration?

Anyways Thanks Bort & Catch for spending the time to talk to your customers. It must have been a hell of a day for you two, and it's pretty amazing you guys are still so open and receptive after all this.

I think we are back off forced salaries. You will get to decide the salary, but the +/- compared to a new expected salary will influence morale

I have no easier way to say this so I will just go with it.......
the initial proposed changes cater to people with absolutely no life, job, no ambition, children or virgins who take GLB completely and totally serious. If you want to cater to these people, a hardcore league does just that. However, stop revamping things for your main base. The majority of the customers here are casual, yet still enthusiastic about the game. I have 20+ players, own 1 team, co-own another, and CFO 3 - however, I would consider myself the casual type. Personally, I love how the finances work in the game, and it is my main concentration as owner/co-owner and obviously in my CFO positions. Most people are not going to have enough time to devote to a more in-depth structure. I have no desire to put any more time into this game then I do already. I check in before I leave for work for the day to train my players, I handle team related issues during my break times, and adjust ticket prices as needed at night before I goto bed. I do get a lot done in those time periods, but expanding the game in structure would make it near impossible for me to keep up. I have a suspicion that there are many customers out there just like me.
PS: Next to no one liked the coaching implementation when it was a planned addition a few seasons ago.........why are we bringing it back up? It's a nice idea on paper, but horrible in practice. Scrap it.

Seriously if you stick with the original idea and just paste my tl;dr version at the bottom of the post, I think you'll garner much more support .
-There's a salary cap - if you go over the cap, you basically pay that extra money to the league as well (luxury tax)
-Player's pre-game starting morale is based on their salary in comparison to the rest of the league.
-You can raise your players' pre-game starting morale using 3 methods:
1) higher contracts - the more you pay your player in comparison to the league average, the more starting morale he will have
2) team possessions - the more items you have like jumbotrons, luxury locker rooms, etc, the higher morale your players will have
3) temporary items - these are basically like team possessions but they don't last as long - usually only 1 home game (like the bobblehead promotions), or a 1-season bonus (chartered flights, cheerleaders, etc)
That's basically all there is to it. A lot of people don't like it because they think getting penalized on morale will make everyone demand a max contract, but they don't realize that morale can be made up with team possessions very easily.
You have to choose between investing in the long run (permanent items), short run (temp items), or your players themselves (contracts). Finding a good balance that will still allow your players to play with 100 morale going into every game, and will also allow you to invest in your team's future will be the job of a CFO.
I actually converted like 2 users who were completely against the system into supporting it in the last few hours.
