Thank you.

For all those arguing they shouldn't:

Check the BTK numbers and the build, no SAs and yet he can break 139 tackles in 139 touches.

HB vision = fail right now though. That needs to be addressed before either of these would work.

Not sure exactly what you mean here. HB Vision clearly picks up threats. Elusive running puts huge radii around them. That all happens in the sim now. Keeping a threat value on a faked defender could be tested with nothing else done.

I know, right. Backs that should get only a few touches IRL but can hit the homerun would be able to do the same thing on GLB..makes sense to me.

much like the uber speed WR builds with little catching...they are homerun threats but nothing completely consistent. and from the looks of the latest test server knocked loose fix....soon to be fumble kings...

I kinda wish kurieg/Bukowski and the rest of would direct the conversion to this tbh..a 48 strength back being viable, but not for many touches a game because he will get jacked up after a few leading to low morale.

OK.. So getting hit with low Strength would hurt a RBs morale?

But what about faking said defender? That should be able to punish the defenders morale as well.

It can't just be one-sided.

Faking a defender would/should punish the defenders morale. This is to make the type of back you guys want possible, without him being able to be a super freak and take the load of the carries.

To be able to avoid defenders and take better paths vision needs to be factored more.

Currently vision 60+ just causes shitty zig zags and actually hurts a HB's build.

He's saying that most Elusive Backs don't run on a high elusive setting for a reason, because it just isn't very effective.

He's saying that high Vision needs to allow Elusive Backs to run better, not worse, just like the Elusive slider.

Right, that's what I'm saying.

It needs to be two-fold.

Yes, guess I was explaining myself poorly.

A successful fake eludes a defender.

No, it doesn't. If it did, we wouldn't have had a huge complaint thread in GLB main and subsequent Suggestions thread addressing faked defenders tackling running backs. The problem with fakes was determined to be precisely that HBs who fake defenders are not then attempting to elude the defenders who are temporarily frozen.

IRL I meant. A fake also does not have to freeze a defender either. The change of direction/balance lost does not happen to a great enough extent. Increase that a little based on agility/etc and fix pathing and I would be a happy camper.

Ya, well, maybe if you actually ran around faked guys instead of through them (getting tackled), you might suddenly see a better reason for using the Elusive setting, eh?

I doubt it, unless you like running back and forth and into defenders.

A back with 48 strength is also likely to go down fast when hit hard/wrapped up, leading to a decrease in fumbles..kind of like how AP has an increase of fumbles because he fights for every extra yard.

Ya, but that mechanic's in there already, including dragging/rip the ball, etc.

That's an actual dynamic that's already accounted for and needs nothing done to touch.

Yeah, it is. It also helps lower strength defenders fumble less, so please don't act like a 48-55 str defender with 70-75 carrying should be a fumble machine if he is used sparingly. Then again idk why we are even discussing this b.c if the "loss of balance" and pathing are actually adjusted we would get just this anyway.

Test it.

Right?

This is the best possible thing to test on the test server. A change that makes sense, is a small step, probably not too damn hard to code, and could have a real positive impact.
