I work in wildland firefighting. For the past 3 years I have worked the 3 months that being a student allows me to work. However every summer my position is on automatic rehire if I want the position back. (this also makes it easy to transfer to other areas as you gain more experience). So once I graduate I can work the full extent of what they hire seasonals on for (which is generally 6-8 months). Living in New Mexico you can live off what you make in those months. Meaning no real need to work the other 4-6 months (atleast not if you are single and not trying to buy a house etc etc, you get the drift)

It would probably be in your best interest to find something for the other months when you aren't working. It would give you a little extra cushion to fall back on and its never too early to start saving for retirement.

Anyone here bowl often? I need some help with a technique problem.

Little background- I used to bowl in a dead straight line, averaged between 130-170 per game using a 14lb starter and 12lb for individual pins/spares. The people I bowl with every week started curving their throws because it's supposed to get you a higher overall score when you get acclimated to it.

I started making the transition 2 weeks ago, started with a 10lb, then moved between 11-16 trying to find my sweet spot. 12 feels the best for curving, but there's a slight problem- I have one of the hardest fucking curves ever and Idk how to temper it. I've tried everything, every weight of ball, throwing it just past the line, throwing it half way down the lane, and no matter what, it curves all the way across the lane most of the time. I always thought the issue would be getting it to curve enough but even when I feel like I'm putting a half ass spin on it, it ends up going from the right edge to the left gutter.

How do I put a weaker curve on it?

Im not saying I wont work at all. Im saying I dont HAVE to. I will most likely pick up a job just to have the extra money.

you need to make sure that you have the correct velocity on it, if you're not throwing it fast enough it doesn't matter how much spin you put on it, second you need to make sure you're throwing it straight, or if it's curving that much make sure you start from the left and throw the right, i have gparents on both sides of the family that bowled and were pretty damn good at it, one of them went pro for a season actually lol i don't know much but if you'd already tried that idk

Could be diet-related. I know a lot of people who cut as much of the preservatives/additives as they can out of their diet and see improvements. Sometimes a specific additive can be a migraine trigger.

For some retarded reason I tried to work out drunk because I had to cut my normal workout short to go to work only to be put on call instead. One of the worst ideas I've ever had. Out of breath after two seconds and could barely manage to get through 3/4 of easy sets. Never doing that again.

it's weird how EVERYTHING else is cool whilst drunk (fast food, whiffleball, swimming, videogames).

I am watching Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls for maybe the 10th time, and Jim Carreys' physical comedy is still just as funny as the first time.
