There's a signpost on the freeway that I take to and from work every day. There are two signs on this post.

The first sign reads "Maximum 90"
The second sign reads "Slower traffic keep right"

Guess which one is enforced by police and which one is not.

Also, it is total BS that the speed limit on our freeway is 55 mph, the freeway in Regina is 62 mph, and the freeway in Ottawa is 68 mph (90/100/110 km/h).

Yeah we have those signs too, and it's amazing how often I have to get in the slow lane to pass someone or sit there strobing the everloving shit out of my lights before honking at someone to tell them they're causing traffic.

And the different speed limits are dumb too. 1/2 mile before where I get on the highway the limit is 75, drops to 65 where I am, drops to 50 at this stupid curve that people go even slower on even though you can take it at 70 with no issues before picking back up to 65 right after then 75 a few miles later.

In Canada I feel like everybody speeds. I went there and was going the speed limit, I was passed by everybody as if I wasn't moving.

That's because they measure speed in monopoly points.

See, and I feel like it is way worse in the US. When I was going from San Francisco to Napa, if I wasn't doing 15-20 miles over the speed limit, I was holding up traffic in the fast lane. I found that all over California... maybe just because there's four to seven lanes of traffic instead of only two or three.

Well, I'm from Seattle, it is a bit different in LA, though our drivers are becoming like that.

This is true, especially since all of the WADOT's money is going into a giant pit downtown
