Thanks to my university's shitty email system, I just learned that my lab professor and the biology faculty never received my official retraction for the lab instructor position for the upcoming semester, nor did I receive their followup "making sure you saw this, what section did you want to lead" email. They thought I just flaked out on them without talking to anyone.

God fucking damnit. So now here I am re-sending it with a profuse apology one month later hoping they don't hate me and haven't taken me off of the future instructor pool lists or haven't withdrawn my name from future research projects.

Fucking christ how does it not occur to the IT department to send out a "we're completely fucking retarded and the email system isn't going to fucking work for over a fucking week" notification on the other 30 fucking things they use to contact us?

as someone who has been a lab coordinator responsible for hiring and coordinating lab instructors: this isn't a big deal. don't lose any sleep over it. especially as it's being taken care of now, as opposed to late august.

I'm slightly less worried with that, and the other people I was interviewing with said they haven't even heard back yet from sending in their schedules and section preferences. So maybe a few people were lagging ass with it and I'm not looking too bad

Today we had 2 pharmacists announce intent to transfer, 1 tech give her 2 weeks, 1 tech announce an approved transfer, myself the one more experienced tech and another tech all announce intent to transfer.

If our regional manager STILL hasn't figured out what a shithole our location is not to mention the fact that we're understaffed, have the oldest equipment and the longest period between remodels and we're the second busiest store in the entire market, we've had 5 technicians officially transfer or leave, 5 techs officially transfer or leave, and 3 technicians trying to leave.

We only employ 11 people counting technicians and pharmacists. In the last year we've had 13 people try to or successfully leave.
