Once upon a time my hall's team won the intramural competition (including soccer) two years running, and somehow got to be talking trash with the female soccer team who had just won their conference. They challenged our hall to a match to teach us a lesson about the quality of women's soccer, then we beat them 11-0.

Yeah, I have a similar story.
A great woman's soccer player is about equivalent to a terrible to very bad man's soccer player. I'm sure that a decent amateur male team would wipe the floor with the US national team that dominates their sport.
My story:
When I was in 9th grade, my dad decided to coach the soccer team at my sister's school with the dad of a friend of mine. Our dad's asked us to show up and help out. Sometimes both of us were there, sometimes just one.
Anyway, they liked to do a JV vs Varsity scrimmage sometimes. There was only one goalie on the team though, so I would play GK for the JV side. Anyway, after about a half hour of watching the JV team not be able to do anything (I don't think they got within 30m of the other goal) and the V team basically pass me the ball, I got frustrated. So instead of clearing the ball, I dropped it at my feet, dribbled through the entire V team, and scored.
Needless to say my dad was furious, so I didn't do that again.
BTW, I'm a terrible soccer player and I never even made a JV squad.
