Cobra Kai - http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=104
I have owned the team for 13 seasons now. We have been in Pro or higher for the last 12 seasons.
Cash: $4,679,835.10 - and not everyone has full lvl 64 upgrades.

Im not upset with these changes at all.

$48,217,547.40

Seems a little much for an AA team to have

And 28MM for a Lv 14 isn't? Love the hipocracy ...

-1,000,000 on this concept.

I'm either going to quit ownership all together or stay put in AAA (maybe drop back to AA). If recruiting doesn't get any better because of the dearth of teams, then it will be the former. This game expanded too much and it needs to contract the number of conferences or drop a couple leagues.

Starting over is not a very sporting proposition if the recruiting problems are not going get vastly better. I didn't build a complete stadium in four seasons, just to demote for a "fresh start" with no players and a bare bones stadium.

Yeah... my AAA team has over $60M in the bank. What's your point?

And full of CPU's. People like you are why this is being done.

You can still build up massive cash reserves if you do it right.

No doubt I built a pro team from the ground up I can do it again. That is not my point.

Why would we expect anything else. Basically with this move you are ensuring that people at the top will have a harder time recruiting. Gutting an older team becomes pointless. You get nothing. So if your teams tight roster with a set of proven agents get nothing for their work and time at the upper levels.

Most teams who gut hit the reset button with the same group of agents or handpicked agents drop down and rebuild. As a team owner you are rewarded because you have played the game longer. You have paid non-returnable flex for X number of years you should get some benefit from this effort and to be honest payment into Borts pocket in real $$$$.

IMHO taking the money and the stadium is too much. Take one or the other not both. People who have played this game as an owner for 10+ seasons deserve better than this system.

I agree with this. Probably my ideal path would be to keep the stadium and have cash re-set to a level default. You really need to give the people that play this long-term and pump money into the system a little bone for their effort.

When you "start over" at the game of Monopoly, one doesn't get to keep the properties, houses, and hotels one had in the previous game of Monopoly. If you wan to "start over", then START OVER.

Football is different than buying real estate last i checked.

They're both competitive multiple player games. Again, if you want to "start over", then do so without any of the goodies you had when you decided to pull the plug on the previous game.

Team owners have an obligation to put forth the best team possible at ALL times. If you can not fulfill this obligation either sell the team or start over. No more tanking seasons at higher levels just to game the financial system.

+1 Just look over the Pro leagues and you get a VERY clear picture of who is doing it. Bort needs to take all their cash imo.

How about just *closing Off* sections at lower levels. Wouldnt this be much easier then taking Stadiums Sections and forcing them to rebuild it? And have teams pay a *Fee* if they want to demote.

Stripping Stadium and Cash is to extreme tho for paying customers.

@scientist... don't talk about what you know nothing about without some due diligence to know the facts.

The reason for all the cpu's is the crappy recruiting opportunities. I've still got about 100 contract offers out there for active agent's players. Everyone wants to be on a championship team and they don't to go with a rebuilding team at the higher levels.

Last season I had 50 human players on the roster and we were in the second round of playoffs. Without a "farm system" to replenish the ranks, the end of season retirements and poor recruiting prospects meant I ended up releasing 22 players.

I did this while I thought about dumping the team or trying to rebuild.

And the big picture is a return to the early seasons of gutting and quitting mid-season rather than sticking it out so that you can demote with as good of fan support and as much cash as possible. Why would someone demote now? What do you gain?

The cost of rebuilding the section(s) puts those teams on the same footing as their new league-mates--that's the purpose of the rule change.
