Also, I see what the goal of your suggestion is, but I don't think it would go over well with the big man. When you're tired, you're supposed to perform worse than when you're fresh. This would give players a bonus to their skills, which would make them perform better? I know the energy penalty would then be applied, so the skills wouldn't be as "pumped" as they normally would.
What do you think about cutting out the speed (seems like a random and irrelevant skill to boost), keeping the bonus to confidence, and possibly giving the player a pump to their energy, sort of like "Second Wind", but maybe not quite as powerful?
