Did you happen to add the three suggestions on the previous page that were quoted by SAGA? I think those are good ideas. Also, I made changes to the original post to include Bort's quotes and gave my input on some of his questions. Could you take a peek at those?

This would basically be an offensive version of Helmet Crash. You had a confidence/stamina requirement on this didn't you, or was that for Hulk? I think we'd need a confidence requirement on this, and possibly add a confidence requirement to Helmet Crash as well.


Looking at these again, I remembered that I had actually combined the two into one VA where Big/Monster penalties were reduced, you needed to meet a confidence prereq, and you dish out some morale penalty to defenders on tackles broken by and PT and LtS: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2941796

Is it possible for your suggested versions of Hulk and Broken Will to be combined into one VA? Your versions have much more balanced and palatable numbers that'd definitely prevent it from being overpowered. I also like that you added Juke and Head Fake as morale-depleters because that way elusive backs can also reap some of this VA's benefits and aren't excluded.

I could, but I think your original idea of having separate VAs is a better one. This prevents one VA from being "too powerful" and covering too much. Reducing the penalty from defensive morale reducers and increasing the bonus to the offensive ones seems a little much. If you want a player who isn't effected by the defense, then invest in Hulk. If you want one that dishes out some morale reductions of his own, then invest in Broken Will. If you'd like both, then invest in both. This splits things up and prevents one player from having too many abilities.

If you'd like to make a combination of the two, I'm sure we could work that out, but I'd simply add it to the suggestions list alongside Hulk and Broken will, since I really do like those two.

I see your point. Splitting it up into two VA's forces the user to be more strategic about the player's VA setup and prevents them from having one that's overpowered. I agree. It's best to leave them as separate VA's.

How about "Slash"
It would reduce the out of position penalty by 5% which would allow teams to get a "Refrigerator" or "slash". I know I would love to create a player that could play a different position as well as the one he was created for.

or if daily team merchandise like caps, jerseys, pendants, posters etc etc were added than it could be something like:

Headline Maker (General)- Player makes sure the team gets it's publicity. Each level of this VA increases merchandice sales by .5% and makes tickets sell easier at higher prices. Fame required - 500-700 maybe a confidence requirement too


with a 20% per team cap...

they were never added to the OP, didn't want them to be lost forever

I wasn't fond of increasing team revenue, because it would be a "forced" VA of sorts. Every team would demand that their team bring those VAs to the point where they hit the cap so they could increase revenue. I'm not fond of a VA increasing anything than a player's abilities, either.

Retain the effects and probably raise the prereq's. The numbers you had were good and balanced even if the two (Hulk and Broken Will) were combined into one VA. The numbers I initially had would be too much. Yours are spot on IMO.

*all numbers are tweakable

Grinder- this player plays better when he is tired and his team needs him. In situations where his team is down by 7 or less and this player has under 65 energy he recieves A 2% bonus to speed and 1% to confidence and stamina.

Prequesterie- 40 confidence 40 stamina
