Eh... I didn't have much of a problem with Rivers until he started yelling at Cutler
Me neither, He seemed fine until he started yelling at other player and then taunting the fans.
Taunting the fans is all good to me, haha, I mean, I don't condone it, but I still LOL whenever I think of Shockey throwing ice at fans. But to seriously yell at the opposing team's QB while you're on the sideline is just ignorant
And I'm still calling for Pats #1 AFC seed with Cassel at the helm
Yeah, he got caught on camera taunting everybody in Denver. Like I said, he's a great guy OFF the field
Rivers is pretty good to have on your team because he's a vocal leader type of guy who doesn't quit. You gotta deal with the good and bad when you have someone like that. The bad is that his emotions can become a distraction if he gets too into that part of the game. He's just like Merriman. Those two got into it a lot when they played each other at Maryland and NCSU. In the Denver game, Cutlet was whining all game and crying to the refs, so Rivers gave him a very animated and over the top taunt. Rivers was obviously caught up in the shit talking that game and wanted to talk trash like he's some kind of linebacker.
I thought it looked silly because if you try to read his lips it looks like he says, "he's a big baby." I mean com'on Philip, if you're gonna yell at someone with THAT much force, don't use the word baby. Overall though, I wouldn't judge Rivers character based off that one game. If you want to judge his character solely on what he does emotionally on the field, you have to look at the AFC championship too. You get the good and bad with emotional players. Playing with a blown out knee is the other side of that coin you see.
