Just a reminder, the west champions absolutely dismantled the east champions in the finals last season...by over 30 points.

Remember how many people thought the 'east was better' last season and how great baltimore was?

That was proven wrong in a big way with one of our easiest wins of the season.

The west is 2-0 in the championship game.

To me, the west is tops until the east proves otherwise. SF and Lincoln are killer teams.

No respect for JetNation--the #2 team in the West?

Its hard to get respect in A 2.

jetnation was a doormat when we were in A2. Bringing in a few mercenery GMs and a 1 season turnaround doesn't mean much when compared to teams like SF and LN who have been doing it on their own, for a while.

I'll give Jetnation this: They have really improved and beat some VERY good teams this season

But being an elite team means having a good showing in the playoffs.

JetNation is a legitimate team. I don't understand what you mean by "a few mercenary GMs," as I don't really understand the meaning of that phrase. How can a GM be a mercenary in this game--as I understand it, a mercenary is someone who isn't really committed to an organization but works for them for money.

All of the new GM's on the team (an I am one of those GM's) brought in this year are new members of the team. They're committed to being JetNation Juggernauts. I'm the DC, Laggo and SteelCity are the OC's, and you better believe we're committed to turning JetNation into a dynasty.

I understand if you're saying SF and LN have been more successful franchises in their history, but I'm looking at our team this year, and I'm saying that we're better than San Francisco. We have a better record than them, and we beat them head-to-head. If Lincoln wants to say, "Hey, we beat you by 55, you're not in our league," I have no problem with that. That was my defense that gave up 58 points, and we got absolutely dominated. If Los Angeles wants to say, "Hey, record-schmecord, we have your number," I have no problem with that either. That loss probably went squarely on the shoulders of my defense as well.

But if you're going to act as if SF is good enough to be with Lincoln as the Cream of the Crop in the West, you're ignoring two teams--Jetnation and the Llamas--who not only beat San Francisco, but also hold better records than them.

You can say respect is won in the playoffs, but when we're talking about the best teams this year, its really a moot point. San Francisco has done the exact same amount of damage as JetNation in the playoffs this year--absolutely none. If the playoffs come and we choke, if we're upset in the 1st round by a Dread City team who is better than they played us in the last week, I (and the rest of the team) am completely willing to take my place outside of the elite level of teams.

But right now? Since we added 3 new Defensive starters to our team, we have not lost a game. The only team on a longer winning streak than us is Lincoln. Again, if you're going to say SF is a better franchise, fine. But a better team this year? You're not basing that on any reasonable logic. I speak for my entire team when I say that JetNation wants respect, and at this point, I feel we've done as much as we can do to deserve it.

I for one, would absolutely LOVE for JetNation to knock off Lincoln or SF in the playoffs

While I do agree that Jet Nation is a serious contender, if ANYONE ever says "record-schmecord" again I think any point they make will immediately disregarded.

Records are everything. In the West, for example, it can mean the difference between playing Lincoln in the 1st round or the 3rd round. Comprehende ? NEVER overlook records !

I'm not too worried about it, MrMike. It seems people have trouble forgetting Jetnation's struggles of previous seasons. That's fine with me. I couldn't be more proud of this team. The amount of work you, smizzy and the rest of the leadership puts in is what makes us contenders, regardless of what makbeer thinks or says.

Trust me I've known laggo for a long time and I'm well aware that the leadership on JetNation is not the group that initially built the team.

Mercenary may have been harsh, but until this group puts together multiple seasons of success I'm not sold.

I've seen a number of teams/guilds/whatever from various games improve suddenly with the addition of leadership that has been successful elsewhere, but almost invariably that leadership loses interest after some measure of success has been gained in the new team.

The initial ownership of JetNation struggled mightily, and yes, you should expect that it will require more than 1 season to make people forget how bad you were.

If anything is true in this game its that you will constantly have to prove yourself.

You guys might be on the way to accomplishing something, but you're not in the class of those that already have. Yet.

I don't deny you're a good team right now. Just not sold on the long haul and ability to get past Lincoln in the playoffs.

Once again, I said, in the USA A 2 East conference Lincoln would be 11-5 or 10-6. Who has Lincoln played this season from the East ? Windycity in which they beat by 1 point in a scrimmage ? LOL ! Windycity is only the 5th best team in the East. Iowa City, Windsor, Beer Town, and Hollywood would all smash Lincoln.

We wouldn't make the playoffs in the East. You guys would smash us just like you did last season. Remember?

Hmmmmmmmm ... would you happen to be talking about THIS game:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=78126

The game where you guys failed to score a TD on us ? The game where we had 1 HB and 1 FB on roster ? So we did not even attempt to run the ball ? The game where we passed 61 times, only completing 49 %, and almost won ? The game where we had almost zero depth in every position ? Oh ok ... yeah ... that was the game you were talking about. Wasn't it ?

You always have an excuse when you lose. I didn't recruit your shitty roster. Congrats on resigning more of your players to fill the void on your team, douchemop. If you don't have depth, that's certainly not my problem and since it is YOUR team, I'd say you don't really have room to be running your suck. Wait, Bort probably rigged your contracts to release all your RB and FB, right?

PS - I give a damn if we scored a touchdown or not. At the end of the game, our points scored was higher than your points scored.

Feel free to STFU.

I run a solid team. Period. So when we lose, yes, there is always an explanation. Thats just football.

Do you watch college football ? Did you see Rick Rod lose his Michigan debut ? Embarrassing, yes, but at least in the press conference he took the heat and pointed out the exact problems that caused them to lose. Thats what a good coach does. Correct the problems and move on so that they do not get fired.

Do you watch the NFL ? The Giants had absolutely no chance of out-scoring the high powered offenses of the Cowboys, Packers, or the Patriots. So what did they do ? They did not allow it to become a shootout. They DOMINATED defensively. They played the type of D that has never been played before against the Patriots. Thats what good coaches do.

So what is Lincoln's excuse for never winning a championship ? I swear, if you guys don't win it this year then you will absolutely be the jokes of this league and possibly of the entire USA.

BTW, since you think that I am just making excuses, why don't you try cutting both of your backup HB's and just rolling with Shock ? You would be 8-8 at best if you did. Anyways Im done with your dumbass. Lets see how the Playoffs go. Lincoln best live up to the hype.

I bought a gutted team mid season, how fast did you expect for me to turn this team around? I inherited a HORRIBLE team ,lol so pretending how bad that team was is any reflection on me as an owner is funny.

My team isn't talking championship....we just want the respect we earned THIS season.

If our record last yr,or the yr before diminishes or tarnishes our record this yr...I'll be a monkeys uncle.
