True. We lost to them in the championship, and even after the consolidation of the two teams, just looking at scouting bars, their only advantage is Passing. Scouting bars only count for so much, but we worked hard to land top level talent to keep up with the 'Nites, and by all accounts it looks like we might have succeeded.

Seriously, if nobody understands the situation the CANS were in then so be it. 5 guys running the whole team. When we started out we were one team anyway. We broke up since the game caught fire. Unfortunately many got disgusted with the game and quit. The five owners if even that many joined our team. They even got recruiting offers from many of you. Why not come back to the people they know then another team in Oceania....surely you can respect that. I guess it would have been ok if you all would have landed the players from the CANS you were seeking. Many went to other teams and/or retired their players, as well as some joining us.
Also we dont recruit. The NITES vowed to stay with guys from our website and try to run with our own guys as long as we can. We have yet to ever sign a FA from another team / league......so eventually we will be the ones behind the 8 ball, while you guys go out and bring in level 34 TE's
There are many rosters comparable to ours right now.
There are many CANS players that did not join our roster. We also lost some guys from our team as well. We lost a level 30 wr, a level 24 wr, and a level 23 guy. We lost three wrs....we replaced them with two of the FA CANS wrs. That is just the wrs. We lost a lot due to the Bortifications as well as the CANS pretty much lost everyone.
Im just here to play the game. I dont talk shit and I respect everyone. So nothing will change from me.

I'm not here to argue semantics. Its just a game, but my post really wasn't that bad. In fact, it *could* show a sign of too quick to jump on it and a possible guilt, but I don't believe that either so hold off with that quick reply just yet. In fact, it was a true statement, which could be just a smuch a compliment to your team BEFORE the merger as after.
But, if you think getting over half your offensive line, a top 4 league RB (even if he is 3rd on DC), a top notch pass rusher, and so forth all from one disbanded team won't get you a few cheap shots and people grumbling, you are smoking some serious dope. We get the story, they couldn't maintain, yada yada they disbanded, but even so there will be sour grapes. I don't really care its a game and more of a reason just why the whole gutting/disbanded issue needs addressed, but as much as you are tired of getting cheap shots (intended or otherwise) there will be us who are tired of you pretending like its such a crime against humanity to be iffy on what happened.

I knew we'd catch flak, there was bound to be some animosity when a team improves by consolidating players from two teams. In the end I know exactly why we did it, and we've been completely honest about that, which makes it hard to hear yall questioning our motives. The Heat and TiT's have done an incredible job of recruiting this offseason, and despite our improvements we've really got our work cut out for us in season 5. With the way OPL teams are improving this could easily be one of the premier leagues in GLB if it isn't already.

Don't see the point in getting all up in arms about the FFLWs consolidating. It's not like this is the first time that that's happened- it's just that everyone knows that they have a preexisting relationship by being from the same sight, so the collusion accusations start flying. This isn't collusion- it's a team disbanding, and a couple of the free agents ending up on an already-great team.

WE were actually ONE team in season one. We made two teams since the game was booming. Bortications caused many to quit....now we are one again. Short story.
Honestly, you dont think we couldnt go out and recruit the types of players we just got? We could have probably got better (not knocking our guys). We have had pms of people interested. We have over $100,000,000 and a completed stadium, and three championships in a row. Not to mention we helped put OPL on the map (as well as ourselves by making the final 8 in the GLB 64 team tourney). We could be even better if we chose to go out and get guys. Instead we chose to stay with our website. We have the same problems as everyone else. Guys still disagree on gameplans, want more PT, dont get back to 100% E before gametime. We have the same issues. We know each other from our site, but we are still strangers trying to hold things together just like everyone else. If anything by not recruiting, we will fall behind everyone else. Our highest level player is a 31.....there are teams with 34's. So eventually our friendship will catch up to us.
No guilt. No sob story.
Trust me, if things dont change soon, we will be losing more owners due to being fed up. Im sure there are other teams bringing high level guys up from other teams they may be associated with, it just didnt happen to be from the same league.

I made my post in jest, I have no problem with you guys getting better, if they had wanted to come to our team I would have taken them in a second.
I have nothing but respect for the Cans/Nites and I hope for all of our sakes that the problems we all have with GLB get ironed out and everyone stays for a long time.
