Well, from what I can tell most of the top rushers at least have very padded stats against the weaker teams, yet Lukas is the only one singled out. That's why I even brought it up, and the fact that we also run 3 backs which has been mentioned about other teams and ignored in complaints about Lukas.

But again I'll say no one should get auto spots just because of a top stat.

My rules for voting are the majority of the games have to be in this league. Last year they were all figured in so last year when I went listing I skipped those with less than 12 games in the league. If there is someone with less and we can determine that the stats were from this league and they are worthy of note then we can include them. Just my input.

Well its obvious that all the teams and players get better stats against the weaker teams.

What i think ppl are pointing out is, that you seemed to intentionally run Lucas alot more than usual in those "easy" games just for the sake of padding stats while most others have just run their standard game, and maybe even saved their better players a bit. Not saying that there is anything wrong with trying to break 500 yds for a player in a game for fun. Just saying what i think the discussion is really about

Edit: And yes, our guys had really good stats against the slow builders too, and will suffer alot in the stats if not counting those games. But i still say that the stats in games between the top-8 teams is the best way to decide anything

Yea whatever you can count games against slow build teams they are in this league so they should be counted to.

Agreed, stats against the best teams is a good way to judge, but I dont' have time to look into every position and every player and I doubt most people on here do which makes the overall stats fairly important.

If we wanted to just stack yards/TDs for Lukas we would have opened him up against the Terror, but instead I tried to spread the ball around and play somewhat conservative as anyone should be able to tell from the score and stats. But again, my big thing is look at the levels, especially in some positions. There are some players that should be running all over the competition because they are 6+ levels higher than the opposing teams/lines.

And to those not on a straight bash, my apologies for this rant.

Not bashing anyone here As i said our own HB's got great stats in those games too. They do ofc share the rushes pretty much 50/50, so individually they dont really have a chance of dominating league leaders.

Still dont think our HB's are as bad as Strom is intent on convincing people off tho

Great discussion guys, a good deal of passionate opinions.

I will discuss with our team, but I will unofficially nominate the following:

G Barnacle Bob - 200 pancakes

SS Atari Polamalu - 56 tackles - 1 Int - 5 PD - 1 FFum.

Best of luck to all players nominated.

same, and that you nominated him. Thats only reason I singled him out.

Just for you, if I am bored at work tomorrow I will pull the rushing stats vs playoff teams, and we can compare the top backs

nvm I see Minaras done it before I read all this lol

Point proven, imo

I also wanna add I think he is a great back! I never said he sucked or anything, I was just making the argument of while the leaders page says he is the best, most of those stats came against weaker teams, and he doesnt perform as well against good ones.

he has great stats for a lvl 21! And its nothing personal

hmmm... i don't remember that. You might have assumed it was me because it was an asshole comment from someone on Puvi. I haven't said anything to Antioch since you lost to us. There's no point rubbing it in after winning. I mean we already proved that we're better during our matchup; that we won.

I never insulted your HBs in particular, just the team in general for losing.

And not winning.

Wow, no love for the #2 QB in the league in both yards and touchdown passes?

(By the way, just teasin'... there are some fine QB nominees so far.)

9 Ints, double digit deficit in Rating, and 36 attempts a game will do that...

This seems like a pretty strange system, but here goes for the Westwood Bruins:

Offense:
G Pigpin PinPig
C Po Williams
WR Kyle Bear

Defense:
DE Granite Wall
DE Emmanuel Lewis
LB Spencer Havner

From other teams I would nominate:

RB Byron Hill, the YPC and only one fumble is sweet.
CB Make it Rain, the # of PDs is awesome.

I dunno who else, this selection process seems a little random.

This seems more like the style we had for MVP last season. By the way, when it comes to it, I think we should do it the same way:
Each team holds voting for team offensive player of the year, DPOY, and MVP in private team forums. After voting is done, we'll post them during the offseason votes should tally in conference only.
